Hosur
Hosur is an industrial city located in the Tamil Nadu state of India. Hosur is one of the 21 municipal corporations in Tamil Nadu. It is located on the bank of the river River Ponnaiyar, southeast of Bengaluru and west of Chennai, the state capital. Hosur is home to major manufacturing industries including Stellantis, Ashok Leyland, Titan, TVS Motors, Caterpillar, Ather Energy, Schaeffler, and many others. History Hosur was known as Murasu Nadu during the Chola period in the 13th century. From the 16th century onwards, the town has come to be known by its present name. Hosur City Municipal Corporation is the civic body governing city of industrial hub Hosur in Tamilnadu state of India. Chandra Choodeswarar Temple, Hosur
The Chandra Choodeswarar Temple is an ancient Shiva temple located on a rocky hill in the city of Hosur, Krishnagiri District, Tamil Nadu. Due to variations in the local languages (Tamil, Kannada, Telugu) and dialects, the temple is also referred to as 'Chandira Choodeshwarar', 'Chandra Choodeshwara', 'Chandra Choodeshwar', 'Shri Choodeswarar' or 'Arulmigu Chandra Choodeshwarar'. The main deities of the temple are Shiva, depicted as the Shiva linga and the Goddess Parvati, depicted as 'Maragathambal'.
