Honoratus Bonnevie (politician)
Honoratus Bonnevie (15 June 1797 – 27 March 1848) was a Norwegian politician. Life He was the son of district stipendiary magistrate Niels Cornelius Bonnevie (1756–1836). His great-grandfather had migrated to Norway from Antibes, France, and he was a grandson of Honoratus Bonnevie (physician), Honoratus Bonnevie and a nephew of Andreas Bonnevie. He was elected to the Storting, Norwegian Parliament in 1845 and 1848, representing the urban constituency of ''Throndhjem og Levanger''. He served as burgomaster there. He died in the same year as his last election. Family He married Sophie Augusta Baumann (1804–1895) in 1826 in Kongsberg. Knut Helle
Knut Helle (19 December 1930 – 27 June 2015) was a Norwegian historian. A professor at the University of Bergen from 1973 to 2000, he specialized in the late medieval history of Norway. He has contributed to several large works. Early life, education and marriage He was born in Larvik as the son of school inspector Hermann Olai Helle (1893–1973) and teacher Berta Marie Malm (1906–1991). He was the older brother of politician Ingvar Lars Helle. The family moved to Hetland when Knut Helle was seventeen years old. He took the examen artium in Stavanger in 1949, and a teacher's education in Kristiansand in 1952. He studied philology in Oslo and Bergen, and graduated with the cand.philol. degree in 1957. His paper ''Omkring Bǫglungasǫgur'', on the Bagler sagas, was printed in 1959. In December 1957 he married Karen Blauuw, who would later become a professor. Lorentz Henrik Müller Segelcke
Lorentz Henrik Müller Segelcke (14 November 1829 – 25 October 1910) was a Norwegian military officer, engineer and politician. He served as Norwegian Minister of the Army twice in the 1870s, and was the director-general of the Norwegian State Railways from 1883 to 1899. Personal life He was born at Bogstad as a son of premier lieutenant Christen Arentz Segelcke (1801–1837) and Sofie Teresia Bonnevie (1810–1896). Carl Emil Christian Bonnevie
Carl Emil Christian Bonnevie (28 April 1881 – 26 September 1972) was a Norwegian jurist and peace activist. He also served as a Member of the Norwegian Parliament. Biography Bonnevie was born in Trondheim as the son of Jacob Aall Bonnevie (1838-1904) and his second wife, Susanne Bryn (1848-1927). He was the younger brother of physician Kristine Bonnevie (1872-1948) and judge Thomas Bonnevie (1879-1960). He took his artium at Aars and Voss School in 1900. He was a reserve officer in the Norwegian Army, attaining the rank of Second Lieutenant in 1901. He was awarded his Cand. jur. in 1904. In 1905, he became a magistrate in Moss in Østfold. The following the year, he became deputy proxy in Vinger Municipality and Odalen in Hedmark county. He was a prosecutor in Kristiania from 1907 to 1910. Thomas Bonnevie
Thomas Bonnevie (12 September 1879 – 19 May 1960) was a Norwegian Supreme Court justice. Biography Bonnevie was born at Trondheim, Norway. He was a son of Member of Parliament and cabinet minister Jacob Aall Bonnevie (1838–1904) and Anne Johanne Daae (1839–1876). He was also the brother of professor Kristine Bonnevie (1872–1948) and jurist Carl Bonnevie (1881-1972). His sister Sofie Honoria Bonnevie (1864–1928), married Norwegian physicist and meteorologist Vilhelm Bjerknes. Kristine Bonnevie
Kristine Elisabet Heuch Bonnevie (8 October 1872 – 30 August 1948) was a Norwegian biologist. She was the first woman to graduate with a science doctorate in Norway (and the second woman overall), Norway's first woman professor, a women's rights activist, and a politician for the Free-minded Liberal Party. Her fields of research were cell biology, cytology, genetics, and embryology. She was among the first women to be elected to political office in Norway. She suggested the epic voyage of her graduate student Thor Heyerdahl on the raft Kon-tiki, a voyage memorialized in the Kon-Tiki Museum, Oslo. Lorentz Henrik Segelcke Dietrichson (1 January 1834 Bergen - 6 March 1917) was a Norwegian poet and historian of art and literature. Biography Lorentz Henrik Segelcke Dietrichson was the son of Fredrik Dietrichson (1800–52) and Marie Heiberg Dahl (1808–83). Dietrichson grew up in Bergen as an only child in a home of cultural officials interested in the parents' social circle. While an undergraduate in the University of Christiania, he composed many clever student songs which were collected and published in 1859. After school graduation in 1853 at the University of Christiania and other exams the following year he began to study theology, but he was more keen to cultivate their literary and artistic interests.
