''Hip Hop Harry'' is an American children's television series created by Claude Brooks that aired on Discovery Family, Discovery Kids, PBS Kids, PBS Kids Sprout and TLC (TV channel), TLC as part of the ''Ready Set Learn!'' block from September 25, 2006 to June 26, 2008. Similar to PBS Kids series such as ''Barney & Friends'' (the setting of the show bears resemblance to ''Barney'' in nature), ''Kidsongs'', ''Sesame Street'', ''Hi-5 (American TV series), Hi-5'', ''Teletubbies'' and ''The Wiggles'', ''Hip Hop Harry'' is a live-action program aimed at younger children ranging from around 2–7 years old. David Eugene Joyner (born July 4, 1963) is an American actor and therapist. He is best known for physically portraying Barney from 1991 to 2001 on the children's television series ''Barney & Friends'' and its predecessor '' Barney & the Backyard Gang''. Bob West, Duncan Brannan, and Tim Dever voiced the character. Later on, Joyner played the title character of ''Hip Hop Harry''. George Perry Floyd Jr. (October 14, 1973 – May 25, 2020) was an African-American man who was murdered by a white police officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota, during an arrest made after a store clerk suspected Floyd had used a counterfeit twenty-dollar bill, on May 25, 2020.
