Heroes Join Forces
"Heroes Join Forces" is the second Arrowverse Crossover (fiction), crossover event that features episodes of the television series ''The Flash (2014 TV series), The Flash'' and ''Arrow (TV series), Arrow'' on The CW. The event began on December 1, 2015, with ''The Flash'' episode "Legends of Today" and concluded the following day with the ''Arrow'' episode "Legends of Yesterday". The episodes feature characters from ''Legends of Tomorrow (TV series), Legends of Tomorrow'', which was being developed as a Spin-off (media), spin-off. The crossover sees Barry Allen (Arrowverse), Barry Allen / Flash and Oliver Queen (Arrowverse), Oliver Queen / Arrow team up to take on Vandal Savage (Arrowverse), Vandal Savage, who is looking for Kendra Saunders (Arrowverse), Kendra Saunders and Carter Hall (Arrowverse), Carter Hall, the reincarnations of Hawkgirl and Hawkman. The Arrowverse is an American Superhero fiction, superhero media franchise and shared universe that is centered on various interconnected television series based on DC Comics superhero characters, primarily airing on The CW as well as web series on CW Seed. The series were developed by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg, Geoff Johns, Ali Adler, Phil Klemmer, Salim Akil, and Caroline Dries. Mark Pedowitz is an American entertainment executive. From 2011 to 2022, he was the president, and then chairman and CEO of The CW, after replacing the former president of entertainment Dawn Ostroff. During his time at The CW, Pedowitz oversaw all aspects including programming, sales, marketing, distribution, finance, research and publicity. Personal life Pedowitz is of Jewish background. Hawkman is the name of several superheroes appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Dennis Neville, the original Hawkman first appeared in ''Flash Comics'' #1, published by All-American Publications in 1940.
