Camilo Henríquez
Friar José Camilo Henríquez González (; July 29, 1769 in Valdivia, Chile – March 16, 1825 in Santiago de Chile) was a priest, author, politician, and is considered an intellectual antecedent to and founding father of the Republic of Chile for his passionate leadership and influential writings. He was also one of the most important early South American newspaper writers and wrote several essays, most notably the '' Proclama de Quirino Lemachez'', which promoted Chilean independence and liberty. He also wrote under the pseudonym Quirino Lemachez. Ángelo José Henríquez Iturra (; born 13 April 1994) is a Chilean professional footballer who plays as a striker for Polish Ekstraklasa club Miedź Legnica and the Chile national team. Henríquez began his career with Universidad de Chile before moving to English club Manchester United in 2012. After loan spells with Wigan Athletic, Real Zaragoza and Dinamo Zagreb, he joined Dinamo Zagreb on a permanent basis in July 2015. Pedro Henríquez Ureña (June 29, 1884 – May 11, 1946) was a Dominican essayist, philosopher, humanist, philologist and literary critic. Biography Early works Pedro Henríquez Ureña was born in Santo Domingo, the third of four siblings. Henríquez's father was Francisco Henríquez y Carvajal, a doctor and politician who was also an intellectual who maintained permanent contact with the most important representatives of the Hispanic Modernism movements from the early 20th century. Henríquez Carvajal would become president of the Republic for a brief period in 1916, before the American occupation. He descended from Jews who immigrated in the 19th century from Curaçao. His mother was the eminent poet and feminist Salomé Ureña. Both played a key role in Pedro's formation and education. His brother, Max, and sister, Camila, were also writers. Amílcar Henríquez Espinosa (August 2, 1983 – April 15, 2017) was a Panamanian footballer. Club career Born in Panama City, Henríquez began his club career with local side Árabe Unido. He spent one season with Costa Rica with Santacruceña before moving to Colombia in 2009. He became an important player for Atlético Huila and joined Independiente Medellín in July 2012. After a season back at Árabe Unido, he returned to Colombia to play for second division side Real Cartagena in December 2014. Enrique Henríquez (1536 – 28 January 1608) was a Portuguese Jesuit theologian. Life Henríquez was born at Oporto, in northern Portugal. Henríquez was the younger son of a New Christian ''(converso)'' physician, the Bentalhado family, related to Baruch Spinoza's maternal grandmother Maria, known as Miriam in the Jewish community. Raúl Silva Henríquez SDB (27 September 1907 – 9 April 1999) was a Chilean prelate of the Catholic Church, a cardinal from 1962. He served as Archbishop of Santiago de Chile from 1961 to 1983 and as Bishop of Valparaíso from 1959 to 1961. José Mardoqueo Henríquez Dubón (born May 24, 1987) is a Salvadoran former footballer. He was banned for life in 2013, for match-fixing while playing for the El Salvador national football team. Óscar Eduardo Henríquez (born January 28, 1974) is a Venezuelan former relief pitcher in Major League Baseball who played for the Houston Astros (1997), Florida Marlins (1998) and Detroit Tigers (2002) in parts of three seasons spanning 1997–2002.
