Haustor
Haustor (transl. ''Passageway'') was a Yugoslav rock band formed in Zagreb in 1979. Haustor is considered one of the most prominent bands of the Yugoslav new wave scene, as well as one of the most notable and influential acts of the Yugoslav rock scene in general. The band was formed by vocalist and occasional guitarist Darko Rundek and bass guitarist Srđan Sacher, the two being key creative figures in the band's work. Haustor gained the attention of the public with their new wave sound influenced by ethnic music and their theatrical live performances. Jugoton was the largest record label and chain record store in the former Yugoslavia based in Zagreb, SR Croatia. History Jugoton was formed in 1947. It replaced Elektroton, which had been founded in 1937, nationalized in 1945, and liquidated in 1947, acquiring its machines and matrices. By 1961, Jugoton was producing 2,371,600 records a year. It is notable for releasing some of the most important former Yugoslav pop and rock records. In addition, the company owned a widespread network of record shops across SFR Yugoslavia. Treći svijet (eng. Third world) is the second studio album by the rock group Haustor. The album was released in 1984. The only song on the album that deviated a little from the atmosphere and concept of the ''Treći svijet'' is, of course, "Radnička klasa odlazi u raj", which due to its lyrics did not find its place on the first album, and after three years, apparently some political times have matured and the song that performed since the beginning of their career were included in this album. This album reveals how much Haustor was ahead of his time, because the selection of melodies, harmonies, verses on the ever-current topic - political incorrectness and critical reflection, packed in excellent arrangements and production, sound current and modern even today. "The Girls in Their Summer Dresses" is a work of short fiction by Irwin Shaw, originally published in The New Yorker in 1939 and first collected in '' Sailor off the Bremen and Other Stories'' (1939) by ''Random House.''
