Harry Earl Griffith (July 13, 1887 – March 30, 1940) was a newspaper publisher who served as the Secretary of the State of Ohio from 1939 to 1940. Griffith was born in Centerburg, Ohio, in Knox county. He was the son of Nellie Myrtle (Gunsaulus) and Harry Saiger Griffith. He attended Mount Gilead public schools. Harry Devonald Griffith FRSE (3 April 1898 – 11 April 1964) was a British physicist and author. Life He was born in Clifton, Bristol, to John Devonald Griffith and his wife Alice. He was christened on 3 April 1898. He was educated at Bristol Grammar School. He then studied at Cambridge University graduating MA. He taught Medical Physics at Aberdeen University from 1923 to 1964. He lived at 21 Gladstone Place in Aberdeen. In 1954 he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. His proposers were Alexander Geddes, Charles Strachan, Edward Maitland Wright, and Vero Wynne-Edwards. He died on 11 April 1964. The 1st Grey Cup was an inter-league championship game played on December 4, 1909, between the Intercollegiate Rugby Football Union champion Toronto Varsity and the Ontario Rugby Football Union champion Toronto Parkdale Canoe Club. The University of Toronto won the game, 26–6. While the Canadian Dominion Football Championship had been contested since 1884, this was the first such game that was awarded the Grey Cup trophy. This was the University of Toronto's third Dominion Championship and their fifth appearance in the national championship game. This was Toronto Parkdale's first appearance in a Dominion Championship game. ''Catch My Smoke'' is a 1922 American silent Western film directed by William Beaudine, based on the novel ''Shoe-bar Stratton'' by Joseph Bushnell Ames. It stars Tom Mix, Lillian Rich, and Claude Payton. Plot As described in a film magazine, Bob Stratton (Mix) returns from France after two years and finds his ranch in strange hands. In order to get to the bottom of affairs, he takes a job there. Mary Thorne (Rich) is running the ranch, left to her by her father who was the executor of Bob's will and, thinking Bob had been killed in World War I, had appropriated the place for himself. Mary's father had been mysteriously killed, and she has engaged Tex Lynch as her foreman. Tex knows the ranch has oil under it and tries to force Mary to sell it. She is captured and taken to a deserted mine, but Bob arrives on scene to affect a rescue. Together they ride back together and Bob's horse Tony approves of their match. Harold Randall Griffith (July 25, 1894 – 1985) was a Canadian anesthesiologist and a leader in the fields of anesthesiology. History Griffith was born in Montreal the son of Alexander Randall Griffith, a medical doctor and homeopathic practitioner. His medical studies at McGill University were interrupted by World War I, where he served in the No 6. Field Ambulance and was awarded the Military Medal for bravery at Vimy Ridge. He received his MDCM from McGill University in 1922, and an MD in homeopathic medicine from Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia in 1923.
