Alison Harmelin is an American journalist and businesswoman who is the co-founder and chief brand officer at Zeel.com, an on-demand in-home health & wellness company. Prior to Zeel, from 2005 to 2015, she was an American television journalist for CBS News based in New York City. Harmelin last served as a fill-in anchor for CBS News Up-to-the-Minute and also served as a fill-in anchor for the CBS Morning News and CBSN. Harmelin was also a correspondent for CBS Newspath, the network's 24-hour daily news service, anchor and reporter for CBS MoneyWatch, and frequent contributor to CBS Radio News and CBSNews.com. Stephen Harmelin
Stephen Joseph Harmelin (May 7, 1939 – May 3, 2025) was an American lawyer who specialized in corporate and transactional law. He was the co-chairman of the Philadelphia-based law firm Dilworth Paxson LLP. He also served as the White House Director of Speechwriting and as a White House aide for President Lyndon B. Johnson from 1964 to 1965. Early life and education Harmelin was born on May 7, 1939, into a Jewish family in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Harmelin attended Central High School. He later went on to graduate from the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard Law School. He served in the United States Coast Guard. Career From 1964 to 1965, Harmelin served as the White House Director of Speechwriting and as a White House aide to President Lyndon B. Johnson. Johnson tasked Harmelin with the creation of the White House Fellows program. He joined Dilworth Paxson LLP in 1965 and worked under former Philadelphia Mayor Richardson Dilworth. Yossef Harmelin
Yossef Harmelin (; 1922 – December 12, 1994) was an Israeli civil servant, serving as the director of the Shabak from 1964 to 1974 and again from 1986 to 1988 and as ambassador in Iran and South Africa. Born in Vienna, Harmelin was active in Maccabi youth movement and the Hakoah Vienna Jewish sports club. He immigrated to Mandatoy Palestine in 1939 under the Youth Immigration program. He was first at Ben Shemen Youth Village and then founded kibbutz Neve Yam. Harmelin fought with the Israel Defense Forces in the 1948 Arab–Israeli War. He joined the shabak in 1949 and became deputy director of Shabak in 1960, rising to his first term as director four years later. In 1974, he left Shabak to pursue other interests, including his ambassadorship.
