Traditional animation (or classical animation, cel animation, or hand-drawn animation) is an animation technique in which each frame is drawn by hand. Barry E. Blitzer (April 21, 1929 – January 27, 2010) was an American television writer. Life and career Blitzer was well known as a writer for the Hanna-Barbera cartoons including ''The Flintstones'', ''Top Cat'', and '' The Jetsons''. Listed as the last surviving member of a group of writers that won a 1956 Best Comedy Writing Emmy, the award was given for his work on the show '' The Phil Silvers Show'' and the episode was "You’ll Never Get Rich". He worked on 1970s children's TV show '' Land of the Lost'' and the 1960s comedy series ''Get Smart'' along with writing stints on ''The Love Boat'', '' Too Close for Comfort'', ''McHale's Navy'' and '' Good Times''. Arthur Davis (animator)
Arthur Davis ( Davidavitch) (June 14, 1905 – May 9, 2000) was an American animator and director known for his time at Warner Brothers' Termite Terrace cartoon studio. Early life Davis was born on June 14, 1905, in Yonkers, New York to Hungarian parents. He is the younger brother of animators Mannie and Phil Davis. Mannie would eventually become a key director for Terrytoons while Phil worked alongside Arthur at the Screen Gems studio before he left in 1933. Career Davis got his start as a teenager at Raoul Barre's Studio in 1918 and later moved to Jefferson Film Corporation when the Mutt and Jeff cartoons began being made there in January 1921. Dennis Marks (August 2, 1932 – January 10, 2006) was an American screenwriter, producer and voice actor, mainly for children's animations. Marks wrote for several big production companies during the 1960s through to the 1990s, including Hanna-Barbera, DC and Marvel. James Francis Ryan (April 21, 1936 – August 31, 2022) was an American screenwriter in the DePatie–Freleng Enterprises, also the Filmation studios and Hanna–Barbera. Career Ryan began his career at DePatie-Freleng Enterprises, where he penned episodes of '' The Inspector'' and scripted the ''Pink Panther'' short '' Psychedelic Pink''. At Filmation, he wrote for several cartoons alongside writing partner Bill Danch, including '' Mission: Magic!''
