Halflives
Halflives is an alternative rock band from Modena, Italy. Following several lineup changes, the band is now a solo project composed of frontwoman Linda Battilani. After releasing their debut 8-track record "Empty Rooms" in 2017, they toured Europe and the UK supporting Courage My Love. In 2018 they headlined several tours in mainland Europe and the UK and released two standalone singles "Crown" and "Fugitive". Early in 2019 they toured in the UK supporting The Faim and Chapel and appeared at Rock for People. An opposing force (alternatively enemy force, abbreviated OPFOR or OpFor) is a military unit tasked with representing an enemy, usually for training purposes in war game scenarios. The related concept of aggressor squadron is used by some air forces. At a basic level, a unit might serve as an opposing force for a single scenario, differing from its 'opponents' only in the objectives it is given. However, major armies commonly maintain specialized groups trained to accurately replicate real-life enemies, to provide a more realistic experience for their training opponents. In physics, a redshift is an increase in the wavelength, and corresponding decrease in the frequency and photon energy, of electromagnetic radiation (such as light). The opposite change, a decrease in wavelength and increase in frequency and energy, is known as a blueshift. The terms derive from the colours red and blue which form the extremes of the visible light spectrum. Three forms of redshift occur in astronomy and cosmology: Doppler redshifts due to the relative motions of radiation sources, gravitational redshift as radiation escapes from gravitational potentials, and cosmological redshifts of all light sources proportional to their distances from Earth, a fact known as Hubble's law that implies the universe is expanding. ''Half-Life'' is a 1998 first-person shooter, first-person shooter game developed by Valve Corporation and published by Sierra Studios for Windows. It was Valve's debut product and the first game in the Half-Life (series), ''Half-Life'' series. The player assumes the role of Gordon Freeman, a scientist who must escape from the Black Mesa Research Facility after it is overrun by Extraterrestrials in fiction, alien creatures following a disastrous scientific experiment.
