Gurskøya
Gurskøya is an island in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The island is shared by the municipalities of Sande and Herøy. The villages of Gursken, Larsnes, and Moldtustranda are located on the island. The southern part of the island was historically part of the municipality of Rovde. In 2015, there were 4,647 residents living on the island. The island lies north of the Rovdestranda area on the mainland; southwest of the islands of Hareidlandet and Dimnøya, west of the island of Eika; east of the islands of Kvamsøya, Voksa, and Sandsøya; and south of the Norwegian Sea and the islands of Nerlandsøya, Bergsøya, Leinøya, and Flåvær. The island is home to many fish-related industries such as fishing and fish processing. Voksa
Voksa is an island in Sande Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The island lies about east of the island of Kvamsøya, about south of the island of Sandsøya, about west of the larger island of Gurskøya, and about north of the mainland village of Åram in neighboring Vanylven Municipality. The island is fairly flat except for one high hill along the southern shore. There are a few residents of the island, scattered about several farms on the island. Since 1965, there has been a long road/bridge/causeway connection to the island of Sandsøya (to the north). The residents of Sandsøya must drive to Voksa to reach the only regular ferry connection to the islands. Rovde
Rovde is a List of former municipalities of Norway, former municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1905 until its dissolution in 1964. Rovde included the area on both the north and south sides of the Rovdefjorden. The northern area on the island of Gurskøya is currently part of Sande, Møre og Romsdal, Sande Municipality and the southern area is part of Vanylven Municipality. Flåvær
Flåvær is group of islets and skerries in the Herøyfjord in the municipality of Herøy in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The islands are located north of the island Gurskøya and southwest of the town of Fosnavåg. It includes the islets ''Flåvær'', ''Husholmen'', ''Torvholmen'', and ''Vardholmen'' (the Norwegian term ''holme'' translates as islet, signifying that these are small). History In earlier times, there was extensive activity at Flåvær due to its central position in the Herøyfjord. Flåvær was both a fishing station and a store where the fishing fleet could get supplies close to the fishing fields. It provided useful harbor and mooring facilities. Kvamsøya is an island in the municipality of Sande in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located east of the Stad peninsula in Selje Municipality and about west of the village of Larsnes on the island of Gurskøya. Leinøya
Leinøya is an island in the municipality of Herøy in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. Its original name was ''Bølandet'', but Leinøya is now the official name. The island is located east of the town of Fosnavåg on the nearby island of Bergsøya. The island is connected to several surrounding islands via a network of bridges. The Remøy Bridge connects it to the island Remøya (to the north), the Herøy Bridge connects it to Nautøya and Gurskøya (to the south), and a small bridge connects to the island of Bergsøya (to the west). Gursken or Haugsbygda is a village in the municipality of Sande in Møre og Romsdal county in the western part of Norway.
