Guomao Station (Shenzhen Metro)
Guomao station (; Cantonese Jyutping: Gwok3 Mau6 Zaam6), is a station on Line 1 of the Shenzhen Metro. It opened on 28 December 2004. It is located underneath the junction of Renmin South Road () and Jiabin Road () in Luohu District, Shenzhen, China. It is named after the Guomao Building (International Trade Centre Building) (). Luohu District
Luohu District is a district of Shenzhen, China, located north of the New Territories of Hong Kong, east of Futian District, southeast of Longgang District, Shenzhen, Longgang District, southwest of Pingshan District, Shenzhen, Pingshan District, and west of Yantian District. It is one of the oldest parts of the city, having represented Shenzhen as a fishing village before 1953 and Shenzhen (market town), a market town from 1953 to 1979, when Bao'an County was promoted to a prefecture-level city and renamed Shenzhen. Guomao Building
The Guomao Building (, otherwise known as International Foreign Trade Centre) is an office tower and one of the earliest skyscrapers in Shenzhen, China. Its fast construction process was termed the "Shenzhen speed". Located at the junction of Jiabin Road and Renmin South Road, Luohu District, the building stands 160 metres tall and consists of 50 floors. Construction started on 1 November 1982 and was completed 37 months later on December 29, 1985. This earned the city's rapid development the nickname "Shenzhen Speed". It was the tallest building in China upon completion. The building stands on a slot of 20,000 square metres and a built-up floor area of 100,000 square metres. It consists mainly of office space (floors 5-43, except 24) but features a revolving restaurant at the 48th and 49th floor and a helipad atop the building. The first five floors are retail spaces. Dongmen (; lit. "East Gate") is a subdistrict within Luohu District of Shenzhen, in China. It is a shopping district located on Dongmen Pedestrian Street (). Name As one of the older parts of Shenzhen, the Dongmen area was established about 300 years ago as the centre of the Shenzhen Market (深圳墟), the town which would later lend its name to the city. Shennan East Road
Shennan Road () is a major east-west thoroughfare of Shenzhen, China. Location Spanning all over Luohu, Futian and Nanshan Districts, the road measures in length. It is divided into three sections, namely Shennan Boulevard (), Shennan Middle Road ()and Shennan East Road (). The sections defined as the portions of Nantou Checkpoint to Huanggang Road, Huanggang Road to Hongling Road and Hongling to Yanhe Road respectively. A cross-platform interchange is a type of interchange between different lines at a metro (or other railway) station. The term originates with the London Underground; such layouts exist in other networks but are not commonly so named. In the United States, it is often referred to as a cross-platform transfer. This configuration occurs at a station with island platforms, with a single platform in between the tracks allocated to two directions of travel, or two side platforms between the tracks, connected by level corridors. The benefit of this design is that passengers do not need to use stairs to another platform level for transfer. Laojie Station
Laojie station (), is a station on the Shenzhen Metro. It provides cross-platform interchange between Line 1 and Line 3. The station is the busiest on the network with 61,600 passenger entries and exits a day. The Line 1 platforms opened on 28 December 2004 and the Line 3 platforms opened on 28 June 2011. It is located underneath the junction of Shennan Fudao (), Jiefang Road () and Jianshe Road () in the Luohu District of Shenzhen, China. The Shenzhen Metro () is the rapid transit system for the city of Shenzhen in Guangdong province, China. Extensions opened on 28 November 2022 put the network at of trackage, operating on 15 lines with 345 stations.
