''Guerra Gaucha'' is the eighth album of Enanitos Verdes published in 1996. The album featured a number of guest musicians, including famous folk percussionist Domingo Cura (box drum and Peruvian), tango bandoneon player Daniel Binelli, percussionist Luis Conte and singer Ruben Albarrán (of Café Tacuba). Albarrán sings a duet with Marciano Cantero on the song "Ella". Enanitos Verdes (literal translation: "Little green dwarves", roughly equivalent to the English phrase "Little green men") is a rock trio from Argentina, formed in 1979 in the city of Mendoza. History The band started in 1979, with Marciano Cantero (bass guitar, keyboards and vocals), Felipe Staiti (guitar) and Daniel Piccolo drums. That same year, they performed throughout the Cuyo region. Later they traveled to Buenos Aires to record a demo, with unusable results that were never released. Café Tacvba (Pronounced ''kaˈfe taˈkuβa'') is a band from Ciudad Satélite, Mexico. The group gained popularity in the early 1990s. Marciano Cantero
Marciano Cantero (born Horacio Eduardo Cantero Hernández, 25 August 1960 – 8 September 2022) was an Argentine musician. He was the lead singer and bassist of Enanitos Verdes, an Argentine pop/rock band. Biography Cantero was nine when he first heard the Beatles and The Beach Boys, which he credits as one of his most important influences in his music. Cantero bought a bass guitar that was on sale with his savings, and started to practice with the instrument, helped by his older brother. After graduating high school, his father bought him a brand new bass guitar. He also started attending concerts in the underground circuit during the civil military dictatorship of Argentina. Rubén Isaac Albarrán Ortega (born February 1, 1967) is a Mexican musician, singer, song writer, music producer, and activist. He is a member and founder of the alternative rock band Café Tacvba. As singer and frontman of Café Tacvba, the artist has characterized himself by his energetic attitude onstage and for presenting himself as different characters and aliases throughout his career.
