Group 9 Rugby League
Group 9 is a rugby league competition based in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia, and surrounding areas. The competition is played in five grades, with these being Under 17s, Under 19s, Women's League-Tag, Reserve-Grade and First-Grade. Currently a home and away season consisting of sixteen rounds is played. The best four teams then play-off according to the Page-McIntyre system, culminating in the Group 9 Grand final, which is traditionally held at McDonald's Park in Wagga Wagga. History 1920s-1950s: Foundations Group 9 Rugby League was formed at a meeting at the Grand Hotel, Harden, following a four-hour meeting on 26 April 1923, which finished at 12:20 am the following morning. Adelong is a small town in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia, situated on the banks of the Adelong Creek. NRL Victoria
NRL Victoria (abbreviated as NRLVic, and formerly the Victorian Rugby League) is responsible for administering the game of rugby league in the Australian state of Victoria. Victoria is an Affiliated State of the overall Australian governing body the National Rugby League. The VRL commenced in 1952 and has been running each year since. NRL Victoria solely administers the Storm Premiership in Melbourne, the Sunraysia-Riverlands Rugby League, and the Murray Cup Rugby League competitions. The Canberra Region Rugby League competition is more commonly known as the Canberra Raiders Cup, covering the Australian Capital Territory and surrounding New South Wales towns Queanbeyan, Goulburn, New South Wales, Goulburn and Yass, New South Wales, Yass. The Group 13 Rugby league Competition is a defunct New South Wales Country Rugby League group competition which was run under the auspices of the Club Rugby League. It was disbanded after the 1991 Season. It covered an area which was the Southern Part of New South Wales and even some parts of Northern Victoria. Group 13 was originally called Group 18 between 1934 and 1936. The group was born from the Far South Rugby League and Wagga Rugby League. The Far South Rugby League comprised Albury, Holbrook, Henty, Culcairn, Tumbarumba, The Rock and Yerong Creek whilst Wagga Rugby League comprised Wagga Magpies, Wagga Old Boys, Borambola, Farm and Militia. Ariah Park () is a small town in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia, west of Temora and south of West Wyalong. The town is within the Temora Shire near Burley Griffin Way. On Census night 2011, Ariah Park had a population of 268 people. The town is listed by the National Trust as a Conservation Area. The town's name came from resident Sam Harrison who purchased a portion of the Wellman Estate and then named that portion ''Ariah Park'' (pronounced 'area'). Temora () is a town in the north-east of the Riverina area of New South Wales, south-west of the state capital, Sydney. At the the population of Temora was 4,693. Temora has been reported as being the friendliest town in New South Wales, following a series of mentions in the Sydney Morning Herald's Column 8, which organised a bus trip to the town for Sydney readers in 2005. Temora was named by John Donald McCansh.
