Green Arrow, a DC Comics superhero, has appeared in media other than comic books since 1973, including animated shows, live-action productions, and video games. Television Animated ''Super Friends'' The first television appearance of Green Arrow was a guest spot in an episode of the original incarnation of ''Super Friends''. Mortimer Weisinger (; April 25, 1915 – May 7, 1978) was an American magazine and comic book editor best known for editing DC Comics' ''Superman'' during the mid-1950s to 1960s, in the Silver Age of comic books. He also co-created such features as Aquaman, Green Arrow, Johnny Quick, and the original Vigilante, served as story editor for the '' Adventures of Superman'' television series, and compiled the often-revised paperback ''1001 Valuable Things You Can Get Free''. The Justice League (also known as The Justice League of America) are a team of superheroes appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The team first appeared in '' The Brave and the Bold'' #28 (March 1960). The team was conceived by writer Gardner Fox as a revival of the Justice Society of America, a similar team from DC Comics from the 1940s which had been pulled out of print due to a decline in sales. The Justice League is an all-star ensemble cast of established superhero characters from DC Comics' portfolio. James Arnold Taylor (born July 22, 1969), also known by his initials JAT, is an American voice actor, writer, producer and podcaster. Speedy is the name of two DC Comics superheroes that have each served as teenaged sidekicks for the Green Arrow. Fictional character biographies Roy Harper The original Speedy's real name was Roy Harper Jr.. He first appeared in '' More Fun Comics'' #73 (November 1941), where he was identified as the orphaned son of Roy Harper Sr., a forest ranger who had died saving a Navajo medicine chief named "Brave Bow" from a fire. Kara Zor-El (Supergirl) also known by her adoptive names of Linda Lee Danvers, Kara Kent, Linda Lang, and Kara Danvers, is a superheroine appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics.
