Green Airlines
Green Airlines was a German virtual airline company based at Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport. History The company was established in October 2020. The virtual airline's flights were originally planned to be operated by Danish Alsie Express while later French Chalair Aviation stepped in. Green Airlines then announced contracts with Bulgarian ALK Airlines and Romanian Just Us Air to operate their seasonal leisure services from Rostock and Paderborn. In June 2021, Green Airlines also announced the launch of five leisure destinations from Groningen Airport in the Netherlands. They also started to serve Zurich Airport. However, in July 2021, Green Airlines announced the suspension of all international flights including leisure charters stating the COVID-19 pandemic. Weeze Airport , less commonly known as ''Niederrhein Airport'', is a minor international airport in the Lower Rhine region of Germany. It is used by Ryanair. The airport is situated southwest of the municipality of Weeze () and northwest of Kevelaer, about southeast of the Dutch city of Nijmegen, and northwest of the German city of Duisburg. Between 2008 and 2013, this was one of Germany's fastest-growing airports; however, the airport handled only 1.23 million passengers in 2019, reflecting a decline in throughput triggered by Ryanair reducing its route network. ATR 42
The ATR 42 is a regional airliner produced by Franco-Italian manufacturer ATR, with final assembly in Toulouse, France. On 4 November 1981, the aircraft was launched with ATR, as a joint venture between French Aérospatiale (now Airbus) and Aeritalia (now Leonardo S.p.A.). The ATR 42-300 performed its maiden flight on 16 August 1984 and type certification was granted during September 1985. Launch customer Air Littoral operated its first revenue-earning flight in December of that year. The high-wing airliner is powered by two turboprop engines, Pratt & Whitney Canada PW120s. The number "42" in its name is derived from the aircraft's original standard seating capacity of 42 passengers. Weeze (, Dutch: ''Wees'') is a municipality in the Lower Rhine (Niederrhein) region, in the northwestern part of North Rhine-Westphalia in the district of Kleve in the region of Düsseldorf. The municipality consists of the town of Weeze and the village of Wemb and has approximately 10,500 inhabitants. Heringsdorf Airport (german: Flughafen Heringsdorf) is a regional airport located near Garz on the island of Usedom in Germany. It used to be an East German airbase and today features summer leisure routes from cities in Germany and Switzerland as well as general aviation. The airport takes its name from the nearby municipality of Heringsdorf, located some to the north. The largest town on the island however is Świnoujście in Poland, immediately to the east of the airport. Facilities Heringsdorf Airport features a single small terminal building equipped with check-in facilities and an information desk. Usedom (german: Usedom , pl, Uznam ) is a Baltic Sea island in Pomerania, divided between Germany and Poland. It is the second largest Pomeranian island after Rügen, and the most populous island in the Baltic Sea. It is north of the Szczecin Lagoon estuary of the Oder river.
