Great Dictionary Of The Indonesian Language Of The Language Center
The (''KBBI'' ; ) is the official dictionary of the Indonesian language compiled by Language Development and Fostering Agency and published by Balai Pustaka. This dictionary is the primary reference for the standard Indonesian language because it is the most complete and accurate Indonesian dictionary ever published by publishers who have patent rights from the government of the Indonesia, Republic of Indonesia under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Indonesia), Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. It is also considered canonical to measure which words have been formally incorporated into Indonesian. Language Development And Fostering Agency
The Language Development and Fostering Agency ( id, Badan Pengembangan dan Pembinaan Bahasa), formerly the Language and Book Development Agency () and the Language Centre (), is the institution responsible for standardising and regulating the Indonesian language as well as maintaining the indigenous languages of Indonesia. It is an agency under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of Indonesia. Anton Moeliono (21 February 1929 in Bandung - 25 July 2011 in Jakarta) was an Indonesian linguist. He is notable for his contribution into codification of the Indonesian language and orthography, and also in the field of Indonesian terminology. Muhadjir Effendy (born 29 July 1956) is an Indonesian politician and rector. He is the minister of education and culture of the Republic of Indonesia in the Working Cabinet. He was appointed by President Joko Widodo on 27 July 2016 replacing Anies Baswedan. Effendy was also the Rector of Muhammadiyah University of Malang in Indonesia from 2000 to 2016. Linguistic prescription, or prescriptive grammar, is the establishment of rules defining preferred usage of language.
