Watty Graham's Gaelic Athletic Club, Glen ( ga, An Ghleann) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based outside Maghera, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. Players are drawn from Maghera and some surrounding townlands. The club competes in Gaelic football, ladies' Gaelic football and camogie. Name The club is named after Watty (Walter) Graham who was a resident of Maghera in the 18th century. He was an educated Presbyterian who became an Elder of his church. Frustrated at the many restrictions on his liberty he joined the United Irishmen. At the time of the 1798 rebellion he was captured and subsequently hanged in Maghera. Camogie Glen fields Camogie teams at U12, U14, U16, Minor and Senior levels. The senior team competes in the Credit Union Derry Premier League. Kilcoo Owen Roes (Irish: Eoghan Rúa Cill Chua) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club from Kilcoo, County Down, Northern Ireland. They are the most successful club in the Down Senior Football Championship having won it 19 times. The club has also won the Ulster Senior Club Football Championship twice and the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship once. Errigal Ciarán GAC is a Gaelic Athletic Association Gaelic football club in southern County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It represents the parish of the same name, which incorporates the village of Ballygawley and its surrounding area. Ulster Senior Football Championship
The Ulster Senior Football Championship is an inter-county competition for Gaelic football teams in the province of Ulster. It is organised by the Ulster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) and begins in early May. The final is usually played on the third Sunday in July. All nine Ulster counties participate. It is regarded as hardest to win of the four provincial football championships. At a referee conference in January 2015, David Coldrick said about officiating in the competition: "Ulster makes or breaks you. It can be a graveyard. The games are different. There is an extra dimension and intensity, and you must be at your best. If you aren't prepared physically and mentally, the chances are you will be caught out. Derry Senior Football Championship
The Derry Senior Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football competition contested by the top sixteen Derry GAA clubs. The winners receive the John McLaughlin Cup and qualify to represent Derry in the Ulster Senior Club Football Championship. Glen are the title holders (2022) and back-to-back champions defeating Slaughtneil in the Final to win their second title on 23rd October 2022. History Bellaghy have won the competition more than any other club with 21 titles. Bellaghy's Tom Scullion has more senior football championship medals than anyone in Derry, winning 12 medals between 1956 and 1971. Malachy O'Rourke
Malcahy O'Rourke is a Gaelic football manager and former player. Career He played for Fermanagh for more than ten years, but was only on the winning side twice in that period in the championship (both time against Antrim). When he was studying to be a physical education teacher at St Mary's University College, Belfast, O'Rourke played on the St Mary's team that won the 1989 Sigerson Cup along with people like Jarlath Burns, Pascal Canavan, Seamus Downey, Danny Quinn and Benny Tierney. His thesis was on the VO2 max of Gaelic footballers. He left his club Derrylin in the early 1990s and got a transfer to Errigal Ciarán because he had moved to Ballygawley, County Tyrone, on account of him teaching at St Joseph's Enniskillen and his wife teaching in Eglish so Ballygawley worked for the pair of them. St Colm's Ballinascreen GAC ( ga, CLG Naomh Colm Baile na Scrine) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Ballinascreen, which includes the town of Draperstown, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. Drumsurn () is a small village and townland in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It is southeast of Limavady and northeast of Dungiven. It lies in the Roe Valley, at the foot of Donald's Hill and at the edge of the Sperrins. Drumsurn had a population of 357 people in the 2001 Census.
