Glass Chin
''Glass Chin'' is a 2014 American crime drama film written and directed by Noah Buschel, starring Corey Stoll, Billy Crudup, John Moyes, Marin Ireland, Yul Vazquez and Kelly Lynch. It premiered at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival. Plot Bud Gordon (Corey Stoll), a burned-out former boxing champ, lives with his girlfriend Ellen Doyle (Marin Ireland). He has retired from boxing after an unexpected loss in his last match, leading many throughout the film to mock him as a "glass chin". Noah Buschel
Noah Buschel (born 1978) is an American film director and screenwriter. Early life Buschel was born in Philadelphia and grew up in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. Career Buschel's first film, ''Bringing Rain'', premiered at the 2003 Tribeca Film Festival. His second film, ''Neal Cassady'', was distributed by IFC. His third, '' The Missing Person'', premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival and was distributed theatrically by Strand Releasing. It earned Buschel a 2009 Gotham Awards nomination for Breakthrough Director. David Roger Johansen (sometimes spelled ''David Jo Hansen''; born January 9, 1950) is an American singer, songwriter and actor. He is best known as a member of the seminal proto-punk band the New York Dolls. Gleason's is a boxing gym located on the Brooklyn waterfront. The gym was founded by Peter Gagliardi, a former bantamweight, who changed his name to Bobby Gleason. It moved to Manhattan and then to Brooklyn. Gleason's is now owned by Bruce Silverglade. There is a sign on the wall at Gleason's, posting an invitation from the poet Virgil: "Now, whoever has courage, and a strong and collected spirit in his breast, let him come forward, lace on the gloves and put up his hands."
