Giovanni Da Asola
Giovanni da Asola (active 1512 – 1530) was an Italian painter of the Renaissance, who along with his son Bernardino da Asola, were prominent in the Venice of the early 16th century. Born in Brescia, Giovanni appeared in Venice in 1512, probably contemporary with Girolamo Romanino. An ''Adoration of the Magi'' were painted for the Duomo of Asola in 1518. In 1526 he and his son painted a set of organ shutters for San Michele in Murano now in Museo Correr. San Francesco Della Vigna
San Francesco della Vigna is a Roman Catholic church in the Sestiere of Castello in Venice, northern Italy. History Along with Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, this is one of two Franciscan churches in Venice. The site, originally a vineyard (''vigna''), was donated by Marco Ziani in 1253 for construction of the monastery. A tiny chapel already on the site recalled the spot where an angel supposedly had pronounced ''Pax tibi Marce, evangelista meus'' to the shipwrecked Saint Mark, patron of Venice. The first church at the site was a triple-nave Gothic church by Marino da Pisa. A monastery housed the Frati Minori dell'Osservanza, while the Conventuali occupied the Frari across town. By the 16th century, the church building was in need of repair. Girolamo Romanino
Girolamo Romani, known as Romanino (c. 1485 - c. 1566), was an Italian High Renaissance painter active in the Veneto and Lombardy, near Brescia. His long career brought forth several different styles. Biography Romani was born in Brescia. His early training and life are not well documented. A Quattrocento-esque ''Pietà'', painted for the church of ''San Lorenzo'' of Brescia, dated from 1510, is exhibited in the Accademia.
