Paul Lazarus Germain (born June 6, 1959) is an American writer, director, and producer. Among the shows Germain has written, produced or directed are ''Rugrats'', '' Recess'', "The Big Splash" from ''Even Stevens'', ''Lloyd in Space'', and '' The Tracey Ullman Show''. Germain (along with Arlene Klasky and Gábor Csupó) was one of the creators of the award-winning animated series ''Rugrats'' for Nickelodeon, and he was a primary creative force for the series. He left the show on its third season to team up with his ''Rugrats'' colleague Joe Ansolabehere, to create Disney's ''Recess'' and ''Lloyd in Space''. Marc Germain (born May 28, 1967) is an American radio talk show host. He was previously known as ''Mr. KFI'' and ''Mr. KABC'' on account of his radio shows on their respective stations. He currently hosts his own internet radio show, ''The Marc Germain Show''. Early life and education Germain was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and was raised mainly in Woodland Hills and Tarzana. From ages 2 through 8, he lived in San Diego near San Diego State University. He graduated from El Camino Real High School. He attended California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California after being rejected from the University of California, Santa Barbara twice. Germain de Brie (c. 1490 – 22 July 1538), sometimes Latinized as Germanus Brixius, was a French Renaissance humanist scholar and poet. He was closely associated with Erasmus and had a well-known literary feud with Thomas More. Early life Germain de Brie was born in Auxerre, France, where he first studied law. He then travelled widely, becoming a college friend of Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa von Nettesheim. From 1508 he studied under Janus Lascaris in Venice, at this time becoming a friend of Erasmus of Rotterdam. He was secretary of the bishop of Albi, Lois de Amboise, and later of the French statesman Jean de Ganay. Marie-Sophie Germain (; 1 April 1776 – 27 June 1831) was a French mathematician, physicist, and philosopher. Despite initial opposition from her parents and difficulties presented by society, she gained education from books in her father's library, including ones by Euler, and from correspondence with famous mathematicians such as Lagrange, Legendre, and Gauss (under the pseudonym of Monsieur LeBlanc). One of the pioneers of elasticity theory, she won the grand prize from the Paris Academy of Sciences for her essay on the subject. Her work on Fermat's Last Theorem provided a foundation for mathematicians exploring the subject for hundreds of years after. Because of prejudice against her sex, she was unable to make a career out of mathematics, but she worked independently throughout her life. He studied in Angers and Paris, obtaining his doctorate of sciences in 1907. Adrienne Germain (1947-May 19, 2022) was a women's health advocate and activist. She was the second president of the International Women's Health Coalition (IWHC). Germain was also a researcher and author. Biography Germain earned a bachelor's degree from Wellesley College in 1969 and had a master's degree in sociology and demography from the University of California, Berkeley. Germain was the first woman to act as a representative of "any donor agency" in Bangladesh. Germain worked for the Ford Foundation for 14 years before she started working at the International Women's Health Coalition (IWHC). She was appointed vice president of IWHC in 1985. Germain worked as a strategist and adviser to the United States delegation at the International Conference on Population and Development in Cairo. George Germain, 1st Viscount Sackville, PC (26 January 1716 – 26 August 1785), styled The Honourable George Sackville until 1720, Lord George Sackville from 1720 to 1770 and Lord George Germain from 1770 to 1782, was a British soldier and politician who served as Secretary of State for the American Department in Lord North's cabinet during the American War of Independence. His ministry received much of the blame for Britain's loss of thirteen American colonies.
