The Public Prosecutor General at the Federal Court of Justice (german: Generalbundesanwalt or ''Generalbundesanwältin beim Bundesgerichtshof'' (GBA), lit.: "General Federal Attorney at the Federal Court of Justice") is the federal prosecutor of Germany, representing the federal government at the '' Bundesgerichtshof'', the federal court of justice. The office of the Public Prosecutor General is located in Karlsruhe. Besides its role in appellate cases, the Public Prosecutor General has primary jurisdiction in cases of crimes against the state (in particular terrorism, espionage and treason), and offences under the ''Völkerstrafgesetzbuch'' (genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes). Peter Frank (jurist)
Peter-Herbert Frank (born 5 May 1968) is a German jurist who has been serving as Public Prosecutor General (Germany), Public Prosecutor General since 5 October 2015. Prior to this, he served as Attorney General of Bavaria in Munich. Early life and education Frank was born in Lauda-Königshofen, Lauda, and studied legal theory at University of Würzburg. During his studies, he joined the conservative Catholic Studentenverbindung Cheruscia Würzburg, which is associated with the Cartellverband. Markus Ludwig Martin (25 April 1909 – 31 March 2010) was a German lawyer. He served as Attorney General of Germany from 7 April 1963 until 30 April 1974. Early life and education Born in Waltenhofen as the son of a dairy worker, Martin was able to take his ''Abitur'' thanks to a teacher, despite his father's opposition. Kay Nehm (born 4 May 1941 in Flensburg) is a German lawyer. He served as Attorney General of Germany from 7 February 1994 until 31 May 2006. Alexander von Stahl (born 10 June 1938 in Berlin) is a German lawyer, liberal politician and civil servant. He served as Attorney General of Germany from June 1990 until July 1993. Monika Harms (born 29 September 1946 in Berlin) is a German lawyer. She has served as Attorney General of Germany from 2006-2011. Early life and education Harms was born in Berlin on September 29, 1946. Oswald Mathias Ungers (12 July 1926 – 30 September 2007) was a German architect and architectural theorist, known for his rationalist designs and the use of cubic forms.
