Guy Torry
Guy Torry is an American actor and comedian. He is the younger brother of actor and comedian Joe Torry. Life and career Guy Torry is a native of St. Louis, Missouri and enrollee of Southeast Missouri State University. Torry moved to Los Angeles after his brother, Joe Torry, had done the same. Guy Torry came to Los Angeles to finish his marketing degree yet later chose to seek a comedy career after seeing the Russell Simmons HBO show ''Def Comedy Jam'', circa 1992. Nearly after two years of practicing comedy, he landed his debut on national television on ''Def Comedy Jam''. Following this he did stand-up comedy for the ''Def Comedy Jam Tour'' throughout the United States. Torry has since been featured in such television series and films as ''Premium Blend'', ''Comic View'', ''Showtime at the Apollo'', ''Runaway Jury'' and ''Don't Say a Word''. Southeast Missouri State University (Southeast or SEMO) is a public university in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. ''Life'' is a 1999 American buddy comedy-drama film directed by Ted Demme. The film stars Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence. It is the second film featuring Murphy and Lawrence together (the first being ''Boomerang,'' in 1992). The supporting cast includes Ned Beatty, R. ''Sunset Park'' is a 1996 American sports comedy drama film directed by Steve Gomer, based upon a screenplay by Seth Zvi Rosenfeld and Kathleen McGhee-Anderson. The film stars Rhea Perlman as the head coach of a high school boys basketball team from the Sunset Park neighborhood in New York City.
