Guy Delaunay
Guy Delaunay (born 20 September 1960) is a French rugby league player who represented France national rugby league team. Playing career Starting his career for XIII Catalan, Delaunay marked the 1980s with said club winning several French Championship titles in 1982. 1983, 1984 and 1985 and a Lord Derby Cup in 1980. He later joined the other club of Perpignan, AS Saint Esteve, with which he won a new French Championship title in 1989. Delaunay made his debut for France in 1980 against a touring New Zealand side. He went on to play in 17 test matches for France, including against touring Australian sides in 1982 and 1990, and in matches that were part of the 1985–1988 Rugby League World Cup and 1989–1992 Rugby League World Cups. Later years Delaunay later worked for Union Treiziste Catalane and the Pia Donkeys. 1985–1988 Rugby League World Cup
The 1985–1988 Rugby League World Cup (sometimes shortened to 1988 Rugby League World Cup) was the ninth edition of the Rugby League World Cup. Unlike previous World Cups that were held over a couple of months, this World Cup was held over the course of three years with teams playing each other on a home and away basis. World Cup games were fitted into the normal international programme of three-match test series between the nations, with a pre-designated match from each series counting as the world cup fixture. Pia Donkeys
Baroudeurs de Pia XIII are a French Rugby league team based in Pia, Pyrénées-Orientales in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. SM Pia XIII was founded in 1960 and were national champions four times before they dropped out of the Elite 1 division after the 2012–13 season. Baroudeurs de Pia, who were formed in 1999, were a reserve team of SM Pia playing in the lower divisions and went dormant shortly after SM Pia had done so. The Catalans Dragons (French: ''Dragons Catalans'', Catalan: ''Dracs Catalans'') are a professional rugby league club from Perpignan, Pyrénées-Orientales department, France. Despite being based in France the club competes in Super League, the top tier of the British rugby league.
