Greg Rowell
Gregory John Rowell (born 1 September 1966) is an Australian cricketer who played for Queensland, New South Wales, and Tasmania. He was a right-handed batsman and right-arm fast bowler who was born at Lindfield, New South Wales. On 11 May 2007, Rowell announced his intention to stand as the Labor candidate for Lord Mayor in the 2008 Brisbane City Council election . Lindfield, New South Wales
Lindfield is a suburb on the Upper North Shore of Sydney in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is 13 kilometres north-west of the Sydney Central Business District and is in the local government area of Ku-ring-gai Council. East Lindfield is a separate suburb to the east, sharing the postcode of 2070. This suburb of 5.17 square kilometres contains residential housing of California bungalow and federation style, in double brick and tile construction. Australian native bushland in Garigal National Park and Lane Cove National Park borders the suburb. History Lindfield was originally the home of the Kuringgai indigenous people. The Lord Mayor of Brisbane is the chief executive of the City of Brisbane, the capital of the Australian state of Queensland, and the head of the Brisbane City Council. Campbell Kevin Thomas Newman (born 12 August 1963) is a former Australian politician who served as the 38th Premier of Queensland from 26 March 2012 to 14 February 2015. He served as the member for Ashgrove in the Legislative Assembly of Queensland between 24 March 2012 and 31 January 2015. He was LNP Leader from 2 April 2011 to 7 February 2015; Newman previously served as the 15th Lord Mayor of Brisbane from 27 March 2004 to 3 April 2011. The 2008 Brisbane City Council election was held on 15 March 2008 to elect a Lord Mayor of Brisbane, lord mayor and 26 councillors to the Brisbane City Council, City of Brisbane. The Australian Labor Party (Queensland Branch), commonly known as Queensland Labor or as just Labor inside Queensland, is the state branch of the Australian Labor Party in the state of Queensland.
