Gouryella
Gouryella is a solo trance music, trance project of Dutch musician Ferry Corsten. Gouryella was originally a Dutch production duo, comprising Corsten and Tiësto, who later left in 2001. The name ''Gouryella'' originates from the Warlpiri language, and is translated as "heaven" or "paradise". In 2015, his track "Anahera" was chosen as "Tune of the Year" on Armin van Buuren's show ''A State of Trance''. History 1998–2003 In 1998, Dutch musicians Ferry Corsten and Tiësto collaborated to create Gouryella. In time there were twenty separate album releases of the first four Gouryella tracks from nine different record labels. One of those albums was ''In Search of Sunrise''. Ferry Corsten
Ferry Corsten OON (; born 4 December 1973) is a Dutch DJ, record producer and remixer. He is well known for producing many pioneering trance tracks during the 1990s–2000s under his numerous aliases, including System F, Moonman, Pulp Victim and Gouryella. In recent years, he has shifted to a broader electronic music style, playing everything from progressive house to uplifting trance; and hosts his own weekly radio show, ''Resonation Radio''. Corsten routinely plays at events and festivals all over the world including Electric Daisy Carnival, Tomorrowland, and many others, and has been consistently ranked among '' DJ Mag'''s Top 100 DJs poll, having placed at rank 5 in 2004 and 2005, 6 in 2006 and 2008; and most recently at 80 for 2024. Tijs Michiel Verwest (; born 17 January 1969), known professionally as Tiësto ( , ), is a Dutch DJ and record producer. He was voted "The Greatest DJ of All Time" by ''Mix (magazine), Mix'' magazine in a 2010/2011 poll amongst fans. In 2013, he was voted by ''DJ Mag'' readers as the "best DJ of the last 20 years". He is also regarded as the "Godfather of Electronic dance music, EDM" by many sources. Flashover Recordings is a trance music record label founded by Dutch trance producer and DJ Ferry Corsten in 2005. The label was first formed releasing only trance music which included its sub-labels Levare Recordings and Flashover Recordings itself. But in recent years, the label has started to release both trance and house music. (''DDR X2'') is a music video game, and a part of the ''Dance Dance Revolution'' series. The arcade version of ''DDR X2'' was revealed by Konami on November 20, 2009. The sequel to '' Dance Dance Revolution X'', X2 began public beta testing on November 25, 2009. The game was released in Japan and Asia on July 7, 2010, North America on December 31, 2010, and Europe on May 13, 2011. Binary Finary
Binary Finary are a British trance act, originally comprising Matt Laws, Ricky Grant and Stuart Matheson. They are best known for the dance hit single "1998", especially for the Paul van Dyk and Gouryella remixes, which charted in many countries. The song was remixed numerous times under the title of the year the remix was produced ("1999" and "2000" etc.), many of which were popular. In the UK, "1998" reached a peak position of No. 24 on the UK Singles Chart whereas "1999" reached No. 11. On 1 May 2006, they released a collection of 16 tracks written over their eight-year sabbatical under the general title, ''The Lost Tracks''. This album is available only for download. "1998" is an instrumental music track by British trance act Binary Finary, originally released in 1997 on the Aquarius label with "Zapya" as the B-side. When released the following year in 1998 on the Positiva label, the single peaked at No. 24 on the UK Singles Chart. Black Hole Recordings is a Dutch record label founded by Tijs Verwest (Tiësto) and Arny Bink in 1997. In August 2009, Tiësto decided to leave Black Hole Recordings, setting up the record label Musical Freedom in association with PIAS Entertainment Group. Transa are a British electronic music duo composed of brothers Dave and Brendan Webster. Mostly active from the 1990s until the 2000s (decade), they have produced mostly trance music over their career, but have occasionally slipped into the realm of progressive house.
