Gongqingcheng
Gongqingcheng () is a sub-prefecture-level city in Jiangxi, People's Republic of China. It was established on 10 September 2010 in the jurisdiction of Jiujiang. It is located north of Nanchang, the provincial capital. On 1 July 2014, it was re-designated as being directly administered by the province, i.e. a sub-prefecture-level city. Situated in the vicinity of De'an, Yongxiu, and Lushan counties, it lies in the foothills of Mount Lu and lies on the western shore of Poyang Lake. With an area of , it is home to 120,000 people, including 68,000 permanent residents. There are plans for the city to expand the population to 400,000 people. It is the only city in China to be named after the Communist Youth League of China, which in Chinese is abbreviated to ""; hence its name literally means "Communist Youth League City". Jiujiang
Jiujiang, formerly transliterated Kiukiang and Kew-Keang, is a prefecture-level city located on the southern shores of the Yangtze River in northwest Jiangxi Province in the People's Republic of China. It is the second-largest prefecture-level city in Jiangxi and its borders include Poyang Lake, the largest freshwater lakes of China, lake in China. Hu Yaobang (20 November 1915 – 15 April 1989) was a Chinese politician who was a high-ranking official of the People's Republic of China. Sub-prefecture-level City
A sub-prefectural municipality (), sub-prefectural city, or vice-prefectural municipality, is an unofficial designation for a type of administrative division of China. A sub-prefectural city is officially considered to be a county-level city, but it has more power ''de facto'' because the cadres assigned to its government are one half-level higher in rank than those of an "ordinary" county-level city—though still lower than those of a prefecture-level city. The Communist Youth League of China (CYLC; also known as the Young Communist League of China or simply the Communist Youth League or CYL) is a people's organization of the People's Republic of China for youth between the ages of 14 and 28, run by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Nanchang University (NCU; ) is a provincial public university in Nanchang, Jiangxi, China.
