Its seat is the village of Reńska Wieś (Reinschdorf), which lies approximately south-west of Kędzierzyn-Koźle and south of the regional capital Opole. The gmina covers an area of , and as of 2019 its total population is 8,251. Since 2006 the commune, like much of the area, has been bilingual in German and Polish, a substantial German minority having remained behind after the area was transferred to Polish control. Andělská Hora () is a town in Bruntál District in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 400 inhabitants.
