Glyn Technology School
Glyn School is a boys' comprehensive secondary school – with a co-educational sixth form – in the borough of Epsom and Ewell in the English county of Surrey. History The school was originally called Epsom County Grammar School for Boys, which then was changed to Glyn County Grammar School for Boys (informally “Glyn Grammar”) at the instigation of the new headteacher Norman Dawson in 1951. After its transformation into a comprehensive school it was named Glyn ADT and then Glyn Technology School. Latterly, from 1 April 2011, after its conversion to academy status, the school has been known as Glyn School. Admissions As of September 1993, the sixth form began accepting applications from female students, generally from neighbouring girls' school, Rosebery. Paul Hodgson (rugby Union)
Paul Hodgson (born 25 April 1982) is an English former rugby union player and coach. Hodgson played as a Scrum-half and his most recent professional position was attack coach for London Irish. He has since moved on to become director of sport at Cranmore School in West Horsley, Surrey, in September 2018 after completing his MEd, a position previously held by fellow London Irish player Barry Everitt. Early career Hodgson attended Glyn Technology School, for whom he captained the rugby 'A' team all through his academic career, and was Head Boy in his final year (2000). The England national under-21 football team, also known as England under-21s or England U21(s), is the national under-21 association football team of England, under the control of the Football Association. Jack Cork
Jack Frank Porteous Cork (born 25 June 1989) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for and captained club Burnley, where he is also employed as the assistant manager of the clubs under-21 team. He played for the Great Britain Olympic team at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Cork started off his career with Chelsea but between 2006 and 2011, he went on loan to a number of clubs, including Scunthorpe United where he was named player of the year. Barry Wordsworth (born 20 February 1948) is a British conductor. Biography Wordsworth was appointed assistant conductor to the touring orchestra of The Royal Ballet in 1972. In 1973, he became principal conductor of the Sadler's Wells Royal Ballet, and held the same title after the company moved to Birmingham to become the Birmingham Royal Ballet (BRB). He served as music director of the Royal Ballet from 1990 to 1995, and again from 2006 to 2015. He returned to BRB as its music director from 2005 to 2008. Paul Stimpson
Paul Stimpson (born 1959) is a former English basketball player. Paul Stimpson gained over 120 senior international appearances for England and Great Britain. He captained England and represented his country on 112 occasions and is one of the most significant players to have played for the England men's national basketball team. At the age of 12 he started playing for Glyn Grammar School later joined the Crystal Palace junior team and played for Borough Road College.
