Giulio Roma
Giulio Roma (16 September 1584 – 16 September 1652) was an Italian Catholic Cardinal and Bishop of Recanati and Loreto. Roma was born 16 September 1584 in Milan, one of 16 children born to noble parents. He was educated at the University of Pavia and the University of Perugia. At a young age he became a chamberlain to Cardinal Federico Borromeo, Archbishop of Milan. Thereafter he went to Rome and had an audience with Pope Paul V, who asked him to move to Rome and named him a consistorial lawyer in 1607. He was named Governor of Orvieto in 1618, Governor of Camerino in 1619 and Governor of Perugia in 1619, where he stayed until 1621 when he was elevated to cardinal on 11 January. He was installed as Cardinal-Priest at the Basilica of Santa Maria sopra Minerva. In 1621 he was ordained Bishop of Recanati and Loreto, a position he held until his death. Santa Prassede
The Basilica of Saint Praxedes (, ), commonly known in Italian as Santa Prassede, is an early medieval titulus (Roman Catholic), titular church and minor basilica located near the papal basilica of Saint Mary Major, on Via di Santa Prassede, Monti (rione of Rome), rione Monti in Rome, Italy. The current Cardinal Priest of ''Titulus Sancta Praxedis'' is Paul Poupard. The church is dedicated to the second-century Praxedes, Saint Praxedes, who with her sister Saint Pudentiana, Pudentiana, was said to have provided comfort and care to Christians persecuted in the Roman Empire. The Diocese of Frascati (Lat.: ''Tusculana'') is a Latin suburbicarian see of the Diocese of Rome and a diocese of the Catholic Church in Italy, based at Frascati, near Rome. The bishop of Frascati is a Cardinal Bishop; from the Latin name of the area, the bishop has also been called Bishop of Tusculum. Tusculum was destroyed in 1191. Giulio Savelli (Rome, 1574 – Rome, 9 July 1644) was an Italian clergyman, Archbishop of Salerno and Cardinal of the Roman Church. Biography Giulio was born in Rome into the noble and ancient Savelli family in 1574. He was the son of Bernardino Savelli, Duke of Castel Gandolfo and Lucrezia dei Conti dell'Anguillara. Giulio Savelli was governor of Orvieto in 1605 and from 21 February 1607 governor of Spoleto, then governor of Ancona from 1608 to 1610. In 1609 he became a student at the courts of the Apostolic Signatura. In 1614 he appeared as Extraordinary nuncio in Piedmont, where he mediated in a dispute between King Philip III of Spain and Charles Emmanuel I, Duke of Savoy.
