''Geographical Bulletin'' is a biannual open-access peer-reviewed academic journal published by the international geographic honor society Gamma Theta Upsilon. It covers all aspects of geography and focuses on student-written and student-led research. The journal was founded in 1970 and migrated to a digital commons platform in 2023. History ''Geographical Bulletin'' is a biannual open-access peer-reviewed academic journal published by the international geographic honor society Gamma Theta Upsilon ( or GTU). Gamma Theta Upsilon established the journal in 1970 to provide an outlet for geography-focused student research. The journal covers all aspects of geography and focuses on student-written and student-led research. While the journal focuses on student research, being a student is not a requirement for consideration. Geography
Geography (from Ancient Greek ; combining 'Earth' and 'write', literally 'Earth writing') is the study of the lands, features, inhabitants, and phenomena of Earth. Geography is an all-encompassing discipline that seeks an understanding of Earth and world, its human and natural complexities—not merely where objects are, but also how they have changed and come to be. While geography is specific to Earth, many concepts can be applied more broadly to other Astronomical object, celestial bodies in the field of planetary science. Geography has been called "a bridge between natural science and social science disciplines."
