Fundación CB Granada
Fundación Club Baloncesto Granada, also known as Covirán Granada by sponsorship reasons, is a basketball team based in Granada, Andalusia, Spain that currently plays in Liga ACB. History The Fundación CBG was founded in 2006 as an entity associated to basketball club CB Granada, with the aim to promote basketball and other nonprofit activities in the province of Granada. In 2012, after the dissolution of CB Granada, the entity decided to create a senior basketball team that could replace the defunct club in the city. In its first season, the club promoted to Liga EBA after finishing as runner-up of the Andalusian group of Primera División de Baloncesto. Two years later, in 2015, Covirán Granada qualifies to the final stage of Liga EBA and finishes winning its group in Albacete, achieving the promotion to LEB Plata, the third tier in Spanish basketball. Liga ACB
The Liga ACB, known as Liga Endesa for sponsorship reasons, is the top professional basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system. Administrated by the Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto (ACB), Liga ACB is contested by 18 teams, with the two lowest-placed teams relegated to the LEB Oro and replaced by the top team in that division plus the winner of the promotion playoffs. The competition was founded as the ACB Primera División on 1983 following the decision of clubs in the Liga Nacional, founded in 1957, to break away from the Spanish Basketball Federation and professionalize the league. The league's accumulated revenues were worth around €30 million in 2020, with Endesa and Movistar Plus+ contributing 50% of the revenues of the league. Iraurgi Saski Baloia, also known as Sammic Hostelería for sponsorship reasons, is a professional Basketball team based in Azpeitia, Basque Country (autonomous community), Basque Country, Spain. Founded in 1975, the men's team currently plays in LEB Oro and the women's team in the Liga Femenina 2 de Baloncesto, Liga Femenina 2. History Iraurgi was founded in 1975 and takes its name from the Iraurgi valley, located between Azpeitia and Azkoitia. In its first seasons, the club played the provincial competitions of Gipuzkoa. 2021–22 LEB Oro Season
The 2021–22 LEB Oro season is the 26th season of the Spanish basketball second league. It started on 8 October 2021 with the first round of the regular season and will end on 19 June 2022 with the Final Four. Format changes For this season, the league is back to 18 teams and bring back the single group with a single group phase in which the top team of the regular season will promote directly to Liga ACB. At the same time, the teams placed between 2nd and 9th will qualify for the playoffs to decide the second promotion to Liga ACB and the last three teams will be relegated to LEB Plata. For the playoffs, the quarter-finals will be played in a best-of-five series and the semi-finals and the final will be in a single-game format in a neutral venue. The 2018–19 LEB Oro season was the 23rd season of the Spanish basketball second league. It started on 5 October 2018 with the first round of the regular season and ended on 2 June 2019 with the final. 2014–15 Liga EBA Season
The 2014–15 Liga EBA season was the 21st edition of the Liga EBA. This is the fourth division of Spanish basketball. Four teams will be promoted to LEB Plata. The regular season started in October 2014 and finished in March 2015. Promotion playoffs to LEB Plata were played in April 2015.
