Futsal In Kazakhstan
Futsal is a football-based game played on a hard court smaller than a football pitch, and mainly indoors. It has similarities to five-a-side football and indoor football. Futsal is played between two teams of five players each, one of whom is the goalkeeper. Unlimited substitutions are permitted. Unlike some other forms of indoor soccer, it is played on a hard court surface marked by lines; walls or boards are not used. It is played with a smaller, harder, lower-bounce ball than football. The surface, ball and rules favour ball control and passing in small spaces. The game emphasizes control, improvisation, creativity and technique. Naming ''Futsal'' comes from the Portuguese ''futebol de salão'' and from the Spanish ''fútbol sala'' or ''fútbol de salón'' (all translatable as "indoor football"). Football in Kazakhstan is governed by the national body the Football Federation of Kazakhstan. The FFK organises the men's, women's and futsal national teams. Football is the most popular sport in the country, followed by ice hockey. History Kazakh football first appeared in Semey before World War I, when British merchants brought the game to the area. Kazakhstan President Cup ( kz, Қазақстан Республикасы Президентінің Кубогы; russian: Кубок Президента Республики Казахстан) is an annual international U-17 football tournament held under the aegis of the Football Federation of Kazakhstan and FIFA. Oleg Litvinenko
Oleg Litvinenko (russian: Олег Литвиненко; 23 November 1973 – 19 November 2007) was a Kazakh International footballer from Taraz, who played as a forward. Career Club In 1998, Litvinenko was banned from football for one-year, after playing for FC Irtysh Pavlodar in the 1998–99 Asian Club Championship whilst not being eligible. During Litvinenko's time in the Kazakhstan Premier League, he has scored 147 goals, putting him as the all-time top scorer in the tournament, until Nurbol Zhumaskaliyev beat his record. International Litvinenko represented Kazakhstan 28 times between 1996 and 2006, whilst also representing the Kazakhstan U-23 10 times, scoring 9 times, during the 1996 Olympic Games Qualifiers.
