Football Darling Downs
Football Queensland Darling Downs is a Football Queensland administrative zone encompassing the Darling Downs region and parts of South West Queensland. The zone administers major regional areas including Toowoomba, Dalby, Roma, Charleville, St George, Goondiwindi and Stanthorpe. The premier men's soccer competition is the Football Queensland Premier League 3 − Darling Downs and the premier women's soccer competition is the Football Queensland Women's Premier League 3 − Darling Downs. Football Queensland Darling Downs also has a numerous variety of lower divisions for both men and women, as well as academy and junior competitions to develop soccer and fitness within the region. Toowoomba ( , nicknamed 'The Garden City' and 'T-Bar') is a city in the Toowoomba Region of the Darling Downs, Queensland, Australia. It is west of Queensland's capital city Brisbane by road. The urban population of Toowoomba as of the 2021 Census was 142,163, having grown at an average annual rate of 1.45% over the previous two decades. Toowoomba is the second-most-populous inland city in the country after the national capital of Canberra and hence the largest city on the Darling Downs, and it is among the largest regional centres in Queensland. Lana Harch (born 23 November 1984 in Hampton, Queensland, Australia) is a former Australia women's national soccer team international who plays for Queensland Lions FC. Harristown is a residential locality in Toowoomba in the Toowoomba Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , Harristown had a population of 8,555 people. Geography Harristown is located to the southwest of the Toowoomba city centre. History The locality is named after George Harris (1831–1891), a Brisbane businessman and Member of the Queensland Legislative Council. Originally in the Shire of Drayton, the locality was first opened as the Harristown Estate in 1902. The estate consisted of 177 building sites ranging from . Forty blocks were sold at the auction. Harristown State School opened on 4 September 1911 with 67 students. Middle Ridge is a residential locality of Toowoomba in the Toowoomba Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , Middle Ridge had a population of 7,141 people. Geography Middle Ridge is located from the Toowoomba city centre.
