Follow My Heart
Poland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 with the song "Follow My Heart" written by André Franke, Michał Wiśniewski, Jacek Łągwa and Real McCoy. The song was performed by the band Ich Troje featuring Real McCoy. The Polish broadcaster Telewizja Polska (TVP) organised the national final ''Piosenka dla Europy 2006'' in order to select the Polish entry for the 2006 contest in Athens, Greece. The national final took place on 28 February 2006 and featured fifteen entries. "Follow My Heart" performed by Ich Troje featuring Real McCoy was selected as the winner after gaining the most points following the combination of votes from a six-member jury panel and a public vote. Poland competed in the semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 18 May 2006. Ich Troje
Ich Troje ("The Three of Them") is a Polish pop band. Ich Troje was founded in 1996 by songwriter Michał Wiśniewski and composer Jacek Łągwa. Since 2000, Ich Troje has been one of the most successful Polish groups. They have sold more than 1.5 million records since June 2001. Their songs are typically about love, betrayal and break-ups. They represented Poland in the Eurovision Song Contest twice: with " Keine Grenzen – Żadnych granic" in 2003 and " Follow My Heart" in 2006. Members Former members are Magdalena Pokora (a.k.a. TVP Polonia
TVP Polonia (formerly known as TV Polonia) is the international channel of the Telewizja Polska (TVP). The channel is co-funded by the TVP and the Polish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and broadcasts from the TVP headquarters in Warsaw. Danzel (born Johan Waem, 9 November 1976) is a Belgian musician, best known for his 2004 single " Pump It Up!" which reached the top 10 across Europe, including in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Romania and Switzerland. Blue Café are a Polish musical group with jazz, soul and Latin influences. The band was formed in Łódź in 1998 and had three consecutive hit singles in Poland in 2002-03. Kasia Cerekwicka (born ''Katarzyna Cerekwicka'' 17 March 1980 in Koszalin, Poland) is a Polish pop singer. She has been singing since she was a little girl. OGAE
The (OGAE) () is a non-governmental and non-profit international organisation, consisting of 42 Eurovision Song Contest fan clubs from across Europe and beyond. It was founded in 1984 in Savonlinna, Finland by Jaripekka Koikkalainen. Four non-profit competitions are organised by the OGAE every year to promote national popular music to Eurovision fans around the world. The National Festival of Polish Song in Opole ( pl, Krajowy Festiwal Piosenki Polskiej w Opolu, KFPP) is an annual music festival in Opole, Poland.
