State Road 882 (SR 882), locally known as Forest Hill Boulevard, is a east–west highway serving central Palm Beach County, Florida. Its western terminus is at an intersection of US 441- SR 7 in Wellington, Florida; and its eastern terminus is at an intersection with South Dixie Highway ( U.S.1/ SR 805 in West Palm Beach, Florida. SR 882 also serves as a primary commuter road for Greenacres, Palm Springs, Lake Clarke Shores, and West Palm Beach. Route description Forest Hill Boulevard begins in at an intersection of U.S. Route 441/State Road 7. State Road 80 (SR 80) (also known as Palm Beach Boulevard in Lee County and Southern Boulevard in Palm Beach County) is a route linking US 41 Business in Fort Myers and State Road A1A in Palm Beach. Dixie Highway was a United States auto trail first planned in 1914 to connect the Midwest with the South. It was part of a system and was expanded from an earlier Miami to Montreal highway. The final system is better understood as a network of connected paved roads, rather than one single highway. It was constructed and expanded from 1915 to 1929. The Dixie Highway was inspired by the example of the slightly earlier Lincoln Highway, the first road across the United States. The prime booster of both projects was promoter and businessman Carl G. A portion of the road is designated State Road 809 (SR 809), but most of the road within Palm Beach County is locally maintained and signed as County Road 809 (CR 809), while the Broward County section exists without either designation. State Road 845 (SR 845), locally known as Powerline Road, is a north–south divided highway serving northern Broward County and southern Palm Beach County, Florida, U.S.A. The route extends from an intersection with Sunrise Boulevard ( SR 838) near downtown Ft. Lauderdale, north to an intersection with Glades Road ( SR 808) near Boca Raton. South Florida Fair
The South Florida Fair is an annual fair held in West Palm Beach, Florida every January. The fairgrounds site occupies and is located on the site of the former Palm Beach Speedway at the intersection of Southern Boulevard ( US 98/ SR 80) and Fairground Road, adjacent to the iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre. In 2012, the fair celebrated its 100th anniversary since its founding in 1912. Nearly 500,000 people attend the South Florida Fair each year. The Lake Worth Lagoon is a lagoon located in Palm Beach County, Florida. It runs parallel to the coast, and is separated from the Atlantic Ocean by barrier beaches, including Palm Beach Island. Henry Morrison Flagler (January 2, 1830 – May 20, 1913) was an American industrialist and a founder of Standard Oil, which was first based in Ohio. He was also a key figure in the development of the Atlantic coast of Florida and founder of the Florida East Coast Railway.
