State Road 5A (SR 5A), also known as Nova Road, is a north–south highway that begins and ends at U.S. Route 1 (Florida), U.S. Highway 1 or US 1 (unsigned State Road 5 (Florida), SR 5), in Port Orange, Florida, Port Orange and Ormond Beach, Florida, Ormond Beach, respectively. It is noted that when 5A was built, it was used more as a bypass or beltway, but in recent years with growth reaching far beyond SR 5A, it sees more use as a major thoroughfare that passes through the heart of the region. Interstate 95 In Florida
Interstate 95 (I-95) is the main Interstate Highway of Florida's Atlantic Coast. It begins at a partial interchange with U.S. Highway 1 (US 1) just south of downtown Miami, and heads north past Daytona Beach, through Jacksonville, and to the Georgia state line at the St. Marys River near Becker. A spur route is a short road forming a branch from a longer, more important road such as a freeway, Interstate Highway, or motorway. A bypass or beltway should not be considered a true spur route as it typically reconnects with another or the same major road. Scottsmoor, Florida
Scottsmoor is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in the north end of Brevard County, Florida, United States. It is on U.S. 1, and also the northernmost settlement in the county. It is a farming community east of Interstate 95, similar to Malabar. The community is part of the Palm Bay–Melbourne– Titusville Metropolitan Statistical Area. Geography Scottsmoor is located at . Gifford () is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Indian River County, Florida, United States. It is part of the Sebastian–Vero Beach Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 5,511 at the 2020 census. Gifford has a rich African American history. History The settlement of Gifford was organized in the mid-1880s, according to the Indian River County Historical Society. The area was named as the Woodley precinct in the 1900 census, and as a settlement village for black families, the community grew.
