Flanagan-Cornell Unit 74 is the first hybrid unit school district formed in the U.S. state of Illinois. It was formed in 2008 from Flanagan Consolidated Unit School District 4 and Cornell Community High School District 70 in Livingston County, Illinois. It operates Flanagan-Cornell High School, Flanagan Junior High School, Flanagan Grade School, and the district offices from a single campus in Flanagan. Livingston County is a county located in the U.S. state of Illinois. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 35,815. Its county seat is Pontiac. Livingston County comprises the Pontiac, IL Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is combined with the Bloomington–Normal metropolitan statistical area as the Bloomington-Pontiac, IL Combined Statistical Area. History Livingston was established on February 27, 1837. Flanagan, Illinois
Flanagan is a village in Livingston County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,110 at the 2010 census. Geography Flanagan is located in western Livingston County at . Illinois Route 116 passes along the southern edge of the village, leading east to Pontiac, the county seat, and west to Woodford. According to the 2010 census, Flanagan has a total area of , all land. A small man-made lake (originally four separate lakes, some being filled in), called the Legion Lake, is located on the west side of the village. A walking trail surrounds it and a park shelter is located on the site. Artesian Park, another small park within the village boundaries, is located on the east side of town. It boasts two picnic shelters, a tennis court and playground equipment. A small business district of roughly one block in length is located in the center of town.
