Fisher Brothers is a real estate firm in New York City. It was formed by Martin Fisher in 1915, and later joined by his brothers Larry (born 1907) and Zachary (born 1910). The Fisher family has substantial real estate holdings in New York City and elsewhere and are considered one of the "royal families" of New York real estate, alongside the Dursts, Roses, Rudins, and Tishmans. History The Fisher family's construction company was founded in 1915 by Martin Fisher. Later, his brothers Larry and Zachary joined to form Fisher Brothers. Beekman (Panhellenic) Tower
The Beekman Tower, also known as the Panhellenic Tower, is a 26-story Art Deco skyscraper situated at the corner of First Avenue and East 49th Street in Midtown Manhattan, in New York City. The building was constructed between 1927 and 1928 to a design by John Mead Howells. The Beekman Tower had been built for the Panhellenic Association's New York chapter as a club and hotel for women in college sororities. However, due to a lack of patronage, it was opened up to non-sorority women and to men by the mid-1930s. It was later converted into a hotel and then corporate apartments. The Beekman Tower contains a design with numerous setbacks, chamfers at its corners, and a massing that abuts onto the boundaries of its lot. Park Avenue Plaza is an office building at 55 East 52nd Street in the Midtown Manhattan neighborhood of New York City. The tall, 44-story building was designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) for development company Fisher Brothers and was completed in 1981. Despite its name, the building is not actually on Park Avenue, although it abuts the Racquet and Tennis Club building along the avenue. Rather, the building is in the middle of a city block, with entrances on 52nd and 53rd Streets.
