Filtvet
Filtvet is a small village along the Oslofjord in Asker municipality, Viken county, Norway. Location Filtvet is a 45-minute journey to Oslo by car and has become a popular tourist destination during summer. Accommodation consist principally of camping sites. Filtvet lighthouse (''Filtvet fyr'') is on the west side of Oslofjord at the entrance to Oslo. The lighthouse was deserted in 1985 and a beacon placed in front of the lighthouse has since replaced the lighthouse. Filtvet Church Filtvet Church (''Filtvet kirke'') dates from 1894. The church was built of timber and has 200 seats. Both the property and timber for construction of the church were given to the local inhabitants by ship owner C. A. Jørgensen. The church was designed by architect, Alfred Christian Dahl (1857-1940). Filtvet Church was the first church project for Dahl who went on to distinguished himself as a church architect. Hurum Strandhotell Filtvedt Nå Villamalla
Hurum was a municipality in Buskerud county, Norway. As of 1 January 2020 Hurum has merged with the municipalities of Røyken and Asker to form the new Asker Municipality located in the newly formed Viken county. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village Sætre. The municipality of Hurum was established on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). The small village of Holmsbu was granted town status in 1847, but it did not become a municipality of its own. It lost its town status on 1 January 1964. Hurum was once suggested as the location for the new national airport of Norway. The plan was, however, abandoned, due to fears of too much fog in Hurum, and the main airport is now situated at Gardermoen in Akershus. Ingrid Berntsen
Ingrid Berntsen (born 18 April 1978) is a Norwegian freestyle skier who specialized in the moguls. Her career peaked with good performances in the 2002–03 World Cup, but she never succeeded in the Olympic Games, and spent most of her career in the shadow of Kari Traa. Background Ingrid Berntsen hails from Filtvet, and is the younger sister of skier Hedda Berntsen. She made her international debut in December 1995, in a European Cup race in Sölden when she finished among the top three before the season was over, with a third place in Altenmarkt-Zauchensee in January 1996. Roger Ryberg
Roger Ryberg (born 16 April 1952 in Kirkenes) is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He has held the position as county mayor of Viken since 2020. He previously served as county mayor of Buskerud from 2007 to 2011 and again from 2015 to 2019. Following the 2007 election, Ryberg became the new county mayor (''fylkesordfører'') of Buskerud. Behind him was a coalition of the Labour Party, the Socialist Left Party, the Centre Party and the Liberal Party, who kept the right-wing candidate Mette Lund Stake at bay with 22 versus 21 votes in the county council. Before being elected county mayor, Ryberg had been mayor of Hurum municipality. He also served as a deputy representative to the Parliament of Norway from Buskerud during the term 1989–1993. Oslofjord
The Oslofjord (, ; en, Oslo Fjord) is an inlet in the south-east of Norway, stretching from an imaginary line between the and lighthouses and down to in the south to Oslo in the north. Viken is a county under disestablishment in Eastern Norway that was established on 1 January 2020 by the merger of Akershus, Buskerud and Østfold with the addition of three other municipalities. Viken was controversial from the onset, with an approval rating of about 20% in the region, and the merger was resisted by all the three counties. Viken has been compared to gerrymandering. The county executive of Viken determined in 2019, before the merger had taken effect, that the county's disestablishment is its main political goal, and the formal process to dissolve Viken was initiated by the county executive in right after the 2021 Norwegian parliamentary election in which parties seeking to reverse the merger won a majority. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality.
