Fethiye Belediyespor is the professional basketball club that represents Fethiye in professional basketball leagues. History The club was founded in 2000. After competing several season in lower divisions, the club promoted to TBL before 2019–20 season. Because of COVID-19 pandemic the season was cancelled, but before cancellation, they were in 2nd place after Petkim Spor. At the start of 2020-21 season, after withdrawal of Teksüt Bandırma from Basketbol Süper Ligi, on September 18, 2020, TBF announced Fethiye Belediyespor will be the 16th team. Turkish Basketball First League
The Turkish Basketball First League, also called TBL, is the second-tier level league of professional club basketball in Turkey. The league was previously known as Turkish Basketball Second League (TB2L). Format and promotion and relegation There are a total of 16 teams participating in the league for the ''2019–20 TBL season''. Each team plays each other in their group twice during the regular season. Fethiye () is a city and district of Muğla Province in the Aegean Region of Turkey. It is one of the prominent tourist destinations in the Turkish Riviera. In 2019 its population was 162,686. Barış Hersek
Barış Hersek (born 26 March 1988) is a Turkish professional basketball who last played for Lokman Hekim Fethiye Belediyespor of the Turkish Basketbol Süper Ligi. He plays at the power forward position. Professional career Hersek started his pro career with Perteniyal, in the Turkish 2nd Division in the 2005–06 season. In 2006, he moved to the Turkish club Anadolu Efes. 2020–21 Basketbol Süper Ligi
The 2020–21 Basketbol Süper Ligi was the 55th season of the Basketbol Süper Ligi, the top-tier level professional club basketball league in Turkey. The season is the first to be played after the previous season was abandoned due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The previous season was cancelled in May 2020. Petkim Spor Kulübü, more commonly known as Socar Spor is a Turkish professional basketball club based in İzmir which currently competes in the Turkish Basketball Super League (BSL).
