Feothanach
Feothanach or an Fheothanach (formerly anglicised as Feohanagh) is a small townland in the Corca Dhuibhne Gaeltacht, located north-west of Dingle on the Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry, Ireland. It is at the foot of Mount Brandon. RTÉ newsreader Siún Nic Gearailt is from the area as well as RTÉ's and TG4's Dáithí Ó Sé. Dáithí Ó Sé
Dáithí Mícheál Ó Sé (; born 2 June 1976) is an Irish television presenter. He currently hosts RTÉ One's ''Today'', alongside Maura Derrane. He is also the current host of the Rose of Tralee and hosts a chat show on TG4 every Thursday night, ''Seal Le Dáithí''. Siún Nic Gearailt
Siún Nic Gearailt (; born 14 September 1971) is a newsreader with Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ) and Teilifís na Gaeilge (TG4) in Ireland. She currently presents ''Nuacht RTÉ'' and ''Nuacht TG4'' and has presented many of RTÉ's English news programmes, including the '' Six One News'', '' Nine O'Clock News'' and the ''News on Two''. RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta (; "Radio of the Gaeltacht"), abbreviated RnaG, is an Irish language radio station owned and operated by Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ). The station is available on FM in Ireland and via satellite and on the Internet. It celebrated 40 years on air on 2 April 2012. The station's main-headquarters are in Casla, County Galway with major studios also in Gaoth Dobhair, County Donegal and An Daingean, County Kerry. History Background After the Irish Free State was formed and the Irish Civil War was concluded, the new state set up a single radio channel named 2RN in 1926, launched by Douglas Hyde. Mount Brandon
Mount Brandon or Brandon (), at , is one of the ten highest peaks in Ireland, being the 8th–highest peak in Ireland on the Arderin list, and the 9th–highest on the Vandeleur-Lynam list. Brandon is the highest Irish mountain outside the MacGillycuddy's Reeks range and has the greatest prominence of any Irish peak except Carrauntoohil, Ireland's highest mountain. Mount Brandon is at the centre of a long high ridge called the Brandon Group range of mountains in the Dingle Peninsula in Kerry. The ridge contains seven other major peaks (i.e. above 2,000 ft in height); one is the similarly named Brandon Peak (840 metres). The positioning and dimensions of the Brandon Group ridge have made it the scene of several air accidents over the years. Dingle ( Irish: ''An Daingean'' or ''Daingean Uí Chúis'', meaning "fort of Ó Cúis") is a town in County Kerry, Ireland. The only town on the Dingle Peninsula, it sits on the Atlantic coast, about southwest of Tralee and northwest of Killarney.
