Fairfield Bulls Football Club is an Australian amateur (formerly semi-professional until 2012) football club based in Fairfield, New South Wales. The club is currently playing in the Southern Districts Football Association. Fairfield Bulls have previously been known as the Bonnyrigg Eagles and Nineveh Eagles Soccer Team. The club is a regular participant in the Assyrian Cup held in both Sydney and Melbourne. History Fairfield Bulls FC were formed in 1971 by a group of Assyrian migrants in Sydney wanting to establish both social and sporting clubs in Australia. The club was initially supported by the Assyrian Australian Association (AAA), and later with Nineveh Club. During November 1971, the AAA took the club under its control and applied for affiliation with the Southern Districts' Soccer Football Association (SDSFA). Edensor Park is a suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Edensor Park is located 38 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district in the Local government in Australia, local government area of the City of Fairfield. Bonnyrigg is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia 36 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the City of Fairfield. It is part of the Greater Western Sydney region. History Bonnyrigg takes its name from Bonnyrigg, Midlothian, Scotland. Assyriska Fotbollsföreningen, also known simply as Assyriska FF, is a Swedish football club based in Södertälje, Stockholm County. The club, formed in 1974 by Assyrian immigrants, has advanced through the league system and is currently playing in the fourth highest Swedish league, Division 2. They played in the highest Swedish football league Allsvenskan in 2005 where their games were broadcast in over 80 countries. Marshall Soper, born 12 May 1960, is a former football (soccer) and Australia International. A bustling but skilful centre-forward with a reputation for hot-headedness, he was originally from the Hunter region, 2 hours north of Sydney. In 1981 he was signed by APIA Leichhardt, helping them win the 1982 NSL Cup. In 1983 he was signed by their local rivals Sydney Olympic where he would spend the next 7 seasons and where he would make his name as a player, he scored 60 goals in 151 appearances in all competitions for the club between 1983 and 1989, in the process becoming a household name and star for the Socceroos. After finishing up with Olympic, Soper also played an important role during a successful period at Parramatta FC, helping the club win the 1991 NSL Cup. Joseph Watson (1 January 1952 – 30 September 2000) was an Australian footballer who played as a winger in a 24-year career extending from 1968 to 1992.
