Fable (video game series), ''Fable'' is a series of Action role-playing game, action role-playing video games developed by Lionhead Studios and published by Microsoft Studios (game studio), Microsoft Studios for Xbox (console), Xbox, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows, Windows, and Mac OS X platforms. The music of the ''Fable'' series is the soundtrack to all three games. Fable Original Soundtrack The ''Fable Original Soundtrack'' was released on February 15, 2005, for Lionhead's 2004 game ''Fable (2004 video game), Fable''. The orchestral score was composed by Russell Shaw (composer), Russell Shaw with Danny Elfman assisting on the theme. The soundtrack was also performed by The Philharmonia Orchestra and The Pinewood Singers, under the orchestration and conduction of Allan Wilson. Fable is a literary genre: a succinct fictional story, in prose or verse (poetry), verse, that features animals, legendary creatures, plants, inanimate objects, or forces of nature that are Anthropomorphism, anthropomorphized, and that illustrates or leads to a particular moral lesson (a "moral"), which may at the end be added explicitly as a concise maxim (philosophy), maxim or saying. A fable differs from a parable in that the latter ''excludes'' animals, plants, inanimate objects, and forces of nature as actors that assume speech or other powers of humankind.
