Fab Morvan
Fabrice Maxime Sylvain Morvan (born 14 May 1966) is a French singer, songwriter, rapper, dancer, and model. He was half of the pop duo Milli Vanilli, along with Rob Pilatus, selling multi-platinum albums around the world. However, he was later involved in a scandal when the duo revealed that they had not actually sung on any of their recordings. After the scandal, the group reformed as Rob & Fab in the 1990s with limited success. Morvan had a solo comeback in the 2000s, releasing his first solo album, ''Love Revolution''. As of 2010, Morvan resides in Amsterdam and Los Angeles. Biography Early years Morvan was born in 1966 in Paris, France, to parents from Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe. Brad Howell is an American keyboardist, pianist and singer, known as the singer who provided the vocals for German band Chilly and the actual vocals lip-synced by Rob Pilatus for the musical duo Milli Vanilli. Career When Howell became a keyboardist and pianist, he appeared on chat shows and other programs featuring music. During one of these appearances, he came to the attention of producer Frank Farian, who wanted him to provide the vocals that would later be attributed to the duo Milli Vanilli. Howell did this work on all of the duo's albums until the truth became public, leading to a worldwide scandal. Charles Shaw (born July 4, 1960) is an American rapper and singer who, in 1988, performed on recordings credited to Milli Vanilli. Controversy Shaw, a U.S. Army veteran, was reportedly paid $6,000 to perform the rap on Milli Vanilli's hit single " Girl You Know It’s True". In December 1989, Shaw disclosed to ''New York Newsday'' writer John Leland that he was one of three singers on Milli Vanilli's hit debut album, and that Milli Vanilli frontmen Rob Pilatus and Fabrice Morvan were impostors. Milli Vanilli producer Frank Farian reportedly paid Shaw $150,000 to retract his statements.
