''Funky Dory'' is the solo debut album by English singer Rachel Stevens. It was released by Polydor Records on 29 September 2003 in the United Kingdom. The album was produced by various record producers, including Bloodshy & Avant and Richard X. ''Funky Dory'' received a positive reception from music critics who complimented its surprising diversity, charm and relative depth. Rachel Stevens
Rachel Lauren Stevens (born 9 April 1978) is an English singer and actress. She has been a member of the pop group S Club, which was active from 1998 to 2003, and has reformed once again since 2023. She released her solo debut studio album ''Funky Dory'' in September 2003. The album reached number nine on the UK album chart and the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) awarded it with a music recording sales certification, gold certification in October 2003. Two singles, "Sweet Dreams My L.A. Ex" and "Funky Dory (song), Funky Dory", were initially released from the album: "Sweet Dreams My L.A. ''Come and Get It'' is the second solo studio album by English singer Rachel Stevens, released on 17 October 2005 by 19 Recordings and Polydor Records. It spawned three singles, two of which reached the top 10, while the album itself reached number 28 on the UK Albums Chart. ''Erotica'' is the fifth studio album by American singer Madonna, released on October 20, 1992, by Maverick and Sire Records. The album was released simultaneously with Madonna's first book publication ''Sex'', a coffee table book containing explicit photographs of the singer, and marked her first release under Maverick, her own multimedia entertainment company. For the album, the singer enlisted Shep Pettibone and André Betts, with whom she had collaborated on 1990's "Vogue" and ''The Immaculate Collection''. S Club 8 (originally S Club Juniors) were a spin off of the British pop music, pop group S Club, S Club 7. The children were all in their early teens or younger when they were chosen from thousands of hopefuls on the television series ''S Club Search'' to appear as a support act for pop band S Club 7. S Club Juniors were originally intended only as a support act at Wembley Arena for the S Club Carnival Tour but were deemed so successful that they went on to support S Club 7 throughout every British date of the tour. The Official Albums Chart is the United Kingdom's industry-recognised national record chart for album, albums. Entries are ranked by sales and audio streaming. It was published for the first time on 22 July 1956 and is compiled every week by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on Fridays (previously Sundays). It is broadcast on BBC Radio 1 (top 5) and found on the OCC website as a Top 100 or on ''UKChartsPlus'' as a Top 200, with positions continuing until all sales have been tracked in data only available to industry insiders.
