Fundy-River Valley
Fundy-River Valley was a provinces and territories of Canada, provincial electoral district (Canada), electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, Canada. It was established in the New Brunswick electoral redistribution, 1994, 1994 redistribution as Grand Bay-Westfield and, though its boundaries were not changed much in New Brunswick electoral redistribution, 2006, 2006, it was decided to change its name to Fundy-River Valley to better reflect that it includes much more than the town of Grand Bay-Westfield, New Brunswick, Grand Bay-Westfield but the Maces Bay area on the Bay of Fundy, Fundy Shore as well as the river valley up to Evandale, New Brunswick, Evandale and Welsford, New Brunswick, Welsford. New Brunswick Electoral Redistribution, 1994
The 1994 New Brunswick electoral redistribution was the first re-alignment of electoral districts in New Brunswick, Canada, since 1973. Under this redistribution, several districts were changed significantly due to considerable population shifts from the northern part of the province to the south. The total number of districts was reduced from 58 to 55. Due to considerable population shifts over the course of two decades, some ridings were merged, while others were split in two, and some were unchanged. The draft recommendations of new districts was created by a royal commission appointed by Premier Frank McKenna in late 1991, which completed its report in 1993. The report was then referred to the provincial legislature which made changes, including the addition of a district and several boundary and name changes. Kings Centre is a provinces and territories of Canada, provincial electoral district (Canada), electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, Canada. It was first contested in the 2014 New Brunswick general election, 2014 general election, having been created in the New Brunswick electoral redistribution, 2013, 2013 redistribution of electoral boundaries. Jim Parrott
James Charles William Parrott (September 15, 1942 – October 4, 2016) was a Canadian politician, who was elected to the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick in the 2010 provincial election, representing the electoral district of Fundy-River Valley. Parrott was formerly a heart surgeon. Originally elected as a member of the Progressive Conservatives, Parrott was later removed from caucus by David Alward after criticizing the government's health care and bilingualism policies. He sat as an independent MLA for most his time in office. On March 19, 2014, Parrott announced that he would seek the Progressive Conservative nomination in the new riding of Kings Centre for the 2014 election. On April 30, 2014, Parrott returned to the Progressive Conservative caucus. Queens County (; 2021 population 10,998) is located in south central New Brunswick, Canada. The county shire town is the village of Gagetown. The county was named as an expression of loyalty to the Crown and to commemorate a group of earlier settlers originally from Queens County, New York. The 2013 New Brunswick electoral redistribution was undertaken through the process set out in the ''Electoral Boundaries and Representation Act'' of New Brunswick, Canada. The legislation establishes a statutory requirement for redistricting, redistribution of electoral district (Canada), electoral districts after every second List of post-confederation New Brunswick general elections, New Brunswick general election. A commission was struck to draw 49 electoral districts, a decrease from 55 districts, which will first be used in the 2014 New Brunswick general election, 2014 provincial election. The 49 boundaries will have to be within the range of 95% to 105% of the 1/49th of the number of registered voters in the province except in "extraordinary circumstances".
