In philosophy and psychology, self-fulfillment is the realizing of one's deepest desires and capacities. The history of this concept can be traced to Ancient Greek philosophers and it still remains a notable concept in modern philosophy. Definition Philosopher Alan Gewirth in his book ''Self-Fulfillment'' defined self-fulfillment as "carrying to fruition one's deepest desires or one's worthiest capacities." Wish Fulfillment
Wish fulfillment is the satisfaction of a desire through an involuntary thought process. It can occur in dreams or in daydreams, in the symptoms of neurosis, or in the hallucinations of psychosis. This satisfaction is often indirect and requires interpretation to recognize. Sigmund Freud coined the term (Wunscherfüllung) in 1900 in an early text titled The Interpretation of Dreams. It corresponds to a core principle of Freud’s Dream Theory. According to Freud, wish fulfillment occurs when unconscious desires are repressed by the ego and superego. The Fulfillment Amphitheater () is a large-scale outdoor amphitheater in Wen-Hsin Forest Park on Wenxin Road, Nantun District, Taichung, Taiwan. Every year, Taichung City Government holds "MidTaiwan Lantern Festival" here. Overview Amphitheater is now managed by the Taichung City Cultural Affairs Bureau. The built-in Amphitheater stage is an open performance space ranging between 40 and 51 meters wide. The stage has a length of 18 meters covered by a roof that ranges in height from 9.5 to 11.5 meters. The 363.638 square meters backstage area is constructed with three concrete layers, with steel used in the middle layer.
