Frailty (Jane Remover Album)
''Frailty'' is the debut studio album by the American musician Jane Remover, released through DeadAir Records on November 12, 2021, under her former stage name, Dltzk. The album was supported by the release of three singles: "How to Lie", "Pretender", and "Search Party". A hyperpop, EDM, and emo record, ''Frailty'' was recorded within six to seven months in Remover's childhood bedroom using FL Studio and an acoustic guitar. Many of the experiences brought up in the album reference Remover's issues with her mental and physical health. The album was positively received by critics. Jane Remover (formerly known as dltzk; also known as leroy and other names) is an American music producer. They are most well known for their 2021 debut album, ''Frailty'', as well as their pioneering of the "dariacore" microgenre on SoundCloud. Biography Remover grew up with their parents and twin sister in northern New Jersey and is currently enrolled at a college in the Philadelphia area. They identify as non-binary and use the pronouns they/she. Career Remover's interest in music production stems back as far as 2011, inspired by dubstep producers like Skrillex, Kill The Noise, and Virtual Riot. They would later go on to produce different styles of EDM in the mid-2010s, citing Porter Robinson as their biggest influence. Microgenre
A microgenre is a specialized or niche genre. The term has been used since at least the 1970s to describe highly specific subgenres of music, literature, film, and art. In music, examples include the myriad sub-subgenres of heavy metal and electronic music. A compression artifact (or artefact) is a noticeable distortion of media (including images, audio, and video) caused by the application of lossy compression.
