Foul Bay
Foul Bay (, "uncleaned bay"; , ) is a bay on the Egyptian side of the Red Sea, in the Red Sea Governorate. Geography Foul Bay is located slightly north of the Tropic of Cancer. The town which lies at the most inland section of the bay is Berenice (, ''Barnīs''). The northern part of Foul Bay is a peninsula called Ras Banas. The ancient ruins of Berenice Troglodytica are located on the bay. Islands Foul Bay has many islands that were formed by an upthrust of rock near the mantle during the convergence of two continental plates under the Red Sea. Red Sea

Mukawwa Island
Mukawwa Island () is a small shore island of the Red Sea, at the northern entrance to Foul Bay in the Red Sea Governorate of Egypt. It is one of a small group of islands which in Foul Bay, including Rocky Island and St. John's Island. Berenice Troglodytica
Berenice Troglodytica, also called Berenike (Greek language, Greek: ) or Baranis, is an ancient seaport of Egypt on the western shore of the Red Sea. It is situated about 825 km south of Suez, 260 km east of Aswan in Upper Egypt and 140 km south of Marsa Alam. It was founded in 275 BCE by Ptolemy II Philadelphus (285–246 BCE), who named it after his mother, Berenice I of Egypt. The Red Sea Governorate ( ) is one of the 27 governorates of Egypt. The Tropic of Cancer, also known as the Northern Tropic, is the Earth's northernmost circle of latitude where the Sun can be seen directly overhead. This occurs on the June solstice, when the Northern Hemisphere is tilted toward the Sun to its maximum extent. It also reaches 90 degrees below the horizon at solar midnight on the December solstice. Ras Banas
Ras Banas ( ) is a peninsula in Egypt extending into the Red Sea. The inlet of water sheltered to the south of it is called Foul Bay, at the head of which sits the ancient port of Berenice. It is believed that Mukawwa Island to the south of the tip of the peninsula, may have been connected to the peninsula at some point in the past however little or no research has been conducted to support this claim. Corals are colonial marine invertebrates within the subphylum Anthozoa of the phylum Cnidaria. They typically form compact Colony (biology), colonies of many identical individual polyp (zoology), polyps.
